The Gateway Campaign was a $40 million initiative focused on addressing the needs of immigrant students through a new 70,000 square foot building, supported by a public/private partnership and exceeding its $14.5 million fundraising goal. Key milestones included the campaign's public launch in 2004, groundbreaking in 2007, and completion in 2010, which resulted in significant private donations and new programs such as the CCCIE and IES. The campaign also marked the first county building to receive LEED certification and has inspired future fundraising efforts.
