Splendens Betta, a knowledge sim named after Betta fish, moves into Arbor Watch for the tenth season of the legacy challenge. He buys a business called Bait a Fish and adopts two cats, Lando and Heidi. After dating Alvin Futa briefly, Splendens starts a relationship with Benjamin Long and proposes to him, though they cannot marry yet. The summary focuses on Splendens establishing his business and adopting pets while spouse hunting, leading to his engagement to Benjamin.

2. Welcome back to Arbor Watch! At
last the last house of the season.
Meet Splendens Betta. He is of
course named after Betta
Splendens, or Siamese Fighting
Fish. As you can guess, I’m going to
keep the betta naming theme
through ten generation of a scored
legacy.
I’m shooting for quite a few handicaps. Do it Yourself, Family
Hobby, Fearless, Patriarchy, One Way Street, eXtreme, Free
Roaming Ghosts, StoryTeller and Danger Zone.
I’m also doing a Petacy. This time with a kitty. Lando is model
after my green cheek conure named, Lando of course.

3. Due to eXtreme Splendens is living on the biggest lot, he
also cannot move anyone in until next week. I had to
cheat a little to get the weather machine. I’m knocking
off one point for it. I also familyfunded away the extra
800 dollars we got cause of Lando.

4. First things first. Change the weather to match the
rest of the neighborhood. Summer it is! Did it get hot
in here to you?

5. Lando demands it’s his turn for attention. Splendens in quick to obliged.
Who can resist a green cat? Oh and before I forget, Splendens is a
Knowledge Sim with a LTW to be Chief of Staff. Which at this stage in things
in unlikely to happen. He randomly rolled gay and is a Leo 1/8/6/7/3. His
OTH is nature, but we’ll have to max gaming and tinkering as well due to
handicaps.

6. Now cat cuddling done, it’s time to get to
work. Splendens needs a bit more money
before he can by his business, Bait A Fish.

7. The welcome wagon shortly after Splendens struck his
first water line. Splendens quite appreciated Julian’s
company over Dagmar’s and Faith’s. Lando of course
wouldn’t let anyone feel left out.

8. Splendens make a delicious lunch of
sandwiches for them all. What is a legacy
with a yard side meal of sandwiches?

9. As darkness fall, I sent Splendens back to digging.
Ignoring his guests until they wandered off home. He
did scrouge up a few things. Just enough to buy Bait A
Fish.

10. Well after midnight, I banished Splendens to bed.
And was his eventful first day in Arbor Watch.

11. Lando spent the evening watching the
stars.

12. Splendens is up early in the morning
to buy his business first thing.

13. Victory is ours! Erm, at Bait A Fish. It took me a while to
get the pond just right. For now it’s just going to be a
fish catching venue. But eventually it’ll have a little
shop and restaurant.

14. Splendens could only charge a dollar an hour. But that
didn’t deter him from practicing his sales pitch.

15. All the while I kept my eye open for a spouse. Sure
Splendens has to wait until Monday, but nobody said I
can’t hunt him down a husband. Leo Wilkie
unfortunately did hit it off with Splendens. I’m hoping
to get the older townies married in, but it’s looks like
it’s going to later rather than sooner.

16. Splendens caught his first fish. Yay!

17. Back on the home front, Splendens starts getting
walkbys to spouse hunt. Alvin Futa and him hit it
off.

18. They’re a cute couple, but I have my doubts. I feel like
Splendens is taking advantage of a young sweet boy.
Even though Alvin has been in the neighborhood a lot
longer. I grew him up from a teen. Maybe that’s it. I
should pair Alvin off with a freshly adult resident verses
newly arrive Splendens.

19. Despite my decision to pair Alvin with somebody else,
Splendens and him have an enjoyable date. We’ve got a
week to wait before I can move somebody in so there’s
no rush to get Splendens hitched.

20. Alvin goes home after the date. I have Splendens look
for a job. Bait A Fish is not a huge money maker, he’ll
need another source of income. Fortunately there’s a
opening in the athletic career.

21. Day Three begins and Splendens
tends his yard. Nothing like a sim
living in a yard with a broken shower.

22. Splendens adopted a second cat, Heidi from the shelter.
Since I can’t resist doing a Petacy. Arbor Watch needs
more green kitties.

23. Splendens gives Heidi a quick cuddle
before it’s off to work.

24. Alvin is in the first rush of customers. Splendens is
looking a bit in the green so I relent briefly and let
them have another date.

25. They are really cute together… gah, poor Alvin, I just
can’t see them together long term. Alvin’s just too
innocent.

26. Back to work and spouse hunting. Luckily fishing gives
Splendens plenty of time to get to know everyone. Of
course the various adult members of the Cooke family
are always around.

27. Splendens hangs out well into the evening, Arbor Watch
thankfully sends him a few men to choose from. Though
he has no bolts for any of these three.

28. He barely gets home and it’s off to his other
job. Hehe, I love when they suffer through
the llama costume.

29. While he’s away the animals are left to their own
devices. Which apparently means taking turns
destroying Splendens’ bed.

30. Splendens snags a promotion. Good thing to since he
had to replace his bed.

31. First thing in the morning Splendens off to work.
I’m hoping he’ll finally find somebody.

32. While he’s waiting he manages to net
himself a silver fishing badge.

33. After a quick shower, he’s back at it. And Andrea’s back.
You’d think falling from casting the line would be bad for
the baby.

34. At last Splendens finally shows an interest in
Benjamin Long. About time!

35. They turned up the heat rather quickly.

36. Splendens closed up shop and went to get some sleep.
But the moment he woke up he called Ben.

37. Nothing like a getting tackled into a kiss
to proclaim true love.

38. ACR kicks after the sun sets. Splendens doesn’t
have a double bed, but who needs a bed when you
have a couch.

39. Splendens proposes, Ben of course accepts. They can’t
get married yet, but at least the spouse hunt is done.
And Ben’s on my list of must marry ins. One done, a
whole bunch of others to go.

40. Day Five and Splendens is off to work. His real job this
time, the carpool came before I could hurry him along to
Bait A Fish.

41. No promotion this time around. Splendens does a few
chores before I send him back to work. His shower is
still broken *sigh*.

42. I didn’t forget about Reno Day. Though I did end up spending
most of Splendens money on the shop. He now has enough fish
to starting selling. Though it’s hard for him to work the store and
replenish his stock. I can’t wait until Ben can move in and start
helping.

43. There wasn’t much left for his house. But it’s a bit of a
start.

44. Splendens is feeling a bit lonely with just the cats. He
invites Ben over again. Spending the night is almost as
good as moving in.

45. And that’s where this rotation ends. With Ben’s hair
impaling Splendens’ nose. I can’t wait for some yellow
eyed babies from these two. Any way, let’s fall into
Autumn with the Vegas ->
