Motive is one of the main themes that law enforcement must identify .pdffabmallkochi
Motive is one of the main themes that law enforcement must identify in order to prevent future
crimes. Law enforcement utilizes the science of criminology to understand criminality and
identify potential criminals.
Identify at least two criminology theories.
Apply these theories to computer crimes and to the individuals’ motives for using technology to
further their crimes.
Solution
CRIMINOLOGY THEORIES
1.Learning theories tend to follow the lead of Edwin Sutherland\'s theory of differential
association, developed in 1947, although ideas about imitation or modeling go back to 1890.
Often oversimplified as \"peer group\" theories, learning is much more than that, and involves
the analysis of what is positively and negatively rewarding (reinforcing) for individuals.
2. Psychological criminology has been around since 1914, and attempts to explain the consistent
finding that there is an eight-point IQ difference between criminals and noncriminals. That gap
isn\'t enough to notice, but it might make them more impulsive and foolhardy, and even smart
people with high IQs are vulnerable to folly. Other psychocriminologists focus on personality
disorders, like the psychopaths, sociopaths, and antisocial personalities.
Criminology theories of computer crimes
Psychoanalytic Theories
Psychoanalytic theory, as developed by Freud, has taken a somewhat indirect approach in
explaining criminal behaviour. It relies on the pathological process by which criminal acts are
thought to be manifested (Blackburn, 1993).
Freud believed that there was an inner moral agency (superego) governing conduct, whose
development depends primarily on satisfying parent-child relationships (Blackburn, 1993).
Inadequate superego formation and function accounts for criminal behaviour (Blackburn, 1993).
Behaviour therefore depends on the balance of the psychic energy system. A disturbance in this
system or any component structure produces maladaptive development (Blackburn, 1993).
Learning Theories
Learning theory approaches to explaining criminal behaviour have links to one of the core
sociological theories of crime, the differential association theory
Criminology theories to the individuals
Critical Theory: Critical theory upholds the belief that a small few, the elite of the society, decide
laws and the definition of crime; those who commit crimes disagree with the laws that were
created to keep control of them.
Critical criminology sees crime as a product of oppression of workers, (particularly, the poorer
sections) and less advantaged groups within society, such as women and ethnic minorities, are
seen to be the most likely to suffer oppressive social relations based upon class division, sexism
and racism. More simply, critical criminology may be defined as any criminological topic area
that takes into account the contextual factors of crime or critiques topics covered in mainstream
criminology
Choice Theory – Choice theory is the belief that individuals choose to commit a crime.
Assignment Criminal Theories—Serial and Mass MurderMany theorie.docxjesuslightbody
Assignment: Criminal Theories—Serial and Mass Murder
Many theories try to explain why some people become serial or mass murderers. However, these theories vary tremendously in terms of the proposed factors that lead to the development of serial and mass murderers. Some theories, for example, emphasize the role of social factors, such as the family. Other theories highlight the importance of psychological factors, such as personality traits, and still other theories focus on the role of biological factors, such as neurological functioning. In isolation, none of these theories provides a definitive explanation for why some people develop into serial or mass murderers. Integrating knowledge from each theory provides for a well-rounded explanation of serial and mass murderers.
Theoretical perspectives not only provide some insight into the causes for the development of serial and mass murderers but also assist criminal profilers in creating a psychological profile of a serial or mass murderer. For instance, suppose a criminal profiler realizes that a serial murderer's crime scene reveals evidence consistent with the attachment theory. Based on this theory, the criminal profiler would likely point out that the serial murderer had a dysfunctional childhood that was marked with emotional abuse, physical abuse, or both by the parents. Theories of serial and mass murderers therefore allow criminal profilers to predict the characteristics not revealed at the crime scene.
To prepare for this assignment:
Review Chapter 4 of your course text, Profiling Violent Crimes: An Investigative Tool. Reflect on the theories of serial and mass murderers and consider how they are similar. In addition, consider how the theories are different from each other, such as whether they focus on factors identifiable at birth, related to personality development, or found in the environment.
Review the book excerpt, "The Making of a Serial Killer." Consider the various factors identified as potential causes of serial and mass murderers.
Review the article "Serial Murder and the Case of Aileen Wuornos: Attachment Theory, Psychopathy, and Predatory Aggression." Focus on how attachment theory is different from the other theories, such as psychoanalytic theory and constitutional theories, discussed in Chapter 4 of Profiling Violent Crimes: An Investigative Tool. In addition, consider how theories such as attachment theory may be better suited than other theories to explain female serial murderers.
Read Psychology Today’s “Is It Possible to Predict Violent Behavior”
Select three criminal theories to compare (one psychological, one constitutional/biological, and one social/ecological).
Consider the similarities and differences between and among these theories in terms of how they account for violent behaviors of serial and mass murderers and how they might be used in profiling and criminal investigation.
The assignment (2-3 pages):

EXPLAINING WHITE COLLAR CRIME
THEORIES AND ACCOUNTS
Trusted Criminals
Designed by: Jordan Land, M.S.
IntroductionA Theory is a formal version of an explanation, although it is not necessarily a comprehensive explanation
It attempts to explain a class of events, whereas an explanation might simply attempt to make sense of a specific event
In the conventional view, a good theory can be tested and fits the evidence provided by research
Underlying Assumptions and Points of DepartureEvery attempt at explanation invokes certain metaphysical, ontological, and epistemological assumptions about the ultimate nature of reality and being, and how we come to know and understand our world
It is important to understand that almost anything we might say about white collar crime is rooted in our assumptions, whether explicit or implicit, concerning such questions
What Do We Want To Explain? The conventional answer is that we must explain criminality, or what makes individuals or organizations commit white collar crimesA second a.
Leadership and Ethics within Mandatory Minimum Prison Sentenci.docxcroysierkathey
Leadership and Ethics within Mandatory Minimum Prison Sentencing 1
Ethical behavior is critical when it comes to how society portrays one in terms of
moral principles and ethics in a given situation. In general, ethical conduct is the practice of
doing the right things by observing and adhering to professional standards. In most countries,
the prison populations are on the rising end as most governments try to avoid the pressure in
budgeting for the jails. The United States employs a sentencing structure whereby
individuals are required to cover 85% of their sentences given by the federal court (Bedau
2014). This paper focuses on how ethical behaviors can impact mandatory minimum prison
sentencing standards.
Ethical concerns to be addressed
The laws of mandatory minimum sentencing are the law that allows handing the
minimum prison sentence for crimes such as possession of drugs. These laws are fixed and
made by Congress, as judges cannot tamper with the laws (Oliss 2014). Critics have come
out to say these laws are oppressive and do not apply in the present-day environment.
One of the ethical concerns of the mandatory minimum sentencing laws needing to be
addressed is the unfairness in passing out judgment. In a particular scenario whereby the
judge does not have the capacity to amend the law during the trial, someone who was neither
directly involved in drug conspiracy, nor a significant concern in the case, will end up
suffering the same sentence that is passed onto the main suspect. This makes it difficult for
the individual, who is rarely involved in being heard, in a different scenario as the law tends
to punish them both harshly. The main disparity is this law tends to focus more on drug lords
and the fight against crime as compared to other offenses that are committed (Martin 2017).
The second ethical concern is these laws do not allow room for plea bargains. Since
Congress makes the law, it is hard for the prosecutor who might have wanted to lower the
sentence for a plea. The capacity they are in does not allow them to do so, thus making it
hard for the person who was “less guilty” to serve a fewer number of years in prison as the
Leadership and Ethics within Mandatory Minimum Prison Sentencing 2
law forces the whole lot involved in the same act to serve the same amount of years. Critics
feel this law has less of an impact and deem them as an inappropriate way of ruling as they
lead to an increase in prisons, thus making it hard to share the limited available resources.
Impact of organizational structure on organizational ethics
The structure of any organization is fundamental as it determines the roles to be
executed by individuals in the work environment. According to (James 2016), organizational
structures often define roles of each individual from the top management to the subordinates,
therefore, having an impact on ethics. More of ...

Understanding Persons With Mental Illness Who Are and Are Not
Criminal Justice Involved: A Comparison of Criminal Thinking and
Psychiatric Symptoms
Nicole R. Gross and Robert D. Morgan
Texas Tech University
Research has begun to elucidate that persons with mental illness become involved in the criminal justice
system as a result of criminality and not merely because of their mental illness. This study aims to clarify
the similarities and differences in criminal thinking and psychiatric symptomatology between persons
with mental illness who are and are not criminal justice involved. Male and female (n 94) participants
admitted to an acute psychiatric facility completed measures to assess criminal thinking (i.e., Psycho-
logical Inventory of Criminal Thinking Styles and Criminal Sentiments Scale–Modified) and psychiatric
symptomatology (Millon Clinical Multiaxial Inventory–Third Edition). In addition to the inpatient
sample, 94 incarcerated persons with mental illness from a previously conducted study were selected
based on their match with the current sample on several key demographic and psychiatric variables. The
results of this study indicated that hospitalized persons with mental illness with a history of criminal
justice involvement evidenced similar thinking styles to persons with mental illness who were incarcer-
ated. Persons with mental illness without criminal justice inv ...

Enterprise Excellence is Inclusive Excellence.pdfKaiNexus
Enterprise excellence and inclusive excellence are closely linked, and real-world challenges have shown that both are essential to the success of any organization. To achieve enterprise excellence, organizations must focus on improving their operations and processes while creating an inclusive environment that engages everyone. In this interactive session, the facilitator will highlight commonly established business practices and how they limit our ability to engage everyone every day. More importantly, though, participants will likely gain increased awareness of what we can do differently to maximize enterprise excellence through deliberate inclusion.
What is Enterprise Excellence?
Enterprise Excellence is a holistic approach that's aimed at achieving world-class performance across all aspects of the organization.
What might I learn?
A way to engage all in creating Inclusive Excellence. Lessons from the US military and their parallels to the story of Harry Potter. How belt systems and CI teams can destroy inclusive practices. How leadership language invites people to the party. There are three things leaders can do to engage everyone every day: maximizing psychological safety to create environments where folks learn, contribute, and challenge the status quo.
Who might benefit? Anyone and everyone leading folks from the shop floor to top floor.

Memorandum Of Association Constitution of Company.pptseri bangash
www.seribangash.com
A Memorandum of Association (MOA) is a legal document that outlines the fundamental principles and objectives upon which a company operates. It serves as the company's charter or constitution and defines the scope of its activities. Here's a detailed note on the MOA:
Contents of Memorandum of Association:
Name Clause: This clause states the name of the company, which should end with words like "Limited" or "Ltd." for a public limited company and "Private Limited" or "Pvt. Ltd." for a private limited company.
https://seribangash.com/article-of-association-is-legal-doc-of-company/
Registered Office Clause: It specifies the location where the company's registered office is situated. This office is where all official communications and notices are sent.
Objective Clause: This clause delineates the main objectives for which the company is formed. It's important to define these objectives clearly, as the company cannot undertake activities beyond those mentioned in this clause.
www.seribangash.com
Liability Clause: It outlines the extent of liability of the company's members. In the case of companies limited by shares, the liability of members is limited to the amount unpaid on their shares. For companies limited by guarantee, members' liability is limited to the amount they undertake to contribute if the company is wound up.
https://seribangash.com/promotors-is-person-conceived-formation-company/
Capital Clause: This clause specifies the authorized capital of the company, i.e., the maximum amount of share capital the company is authorized to issue. It also mentions the division of this capital into shares and their respective nominal value.
Association Clause: It simply states that the subscribers wish to form a company and agree to become members of it, in accordance with the terms of the MOA.
Importance of Memorandum of Association:
Legal Requirement: The MOA is a legal requirement for the formation of a company. It must be filed with the Registrar of Companies during the incorporation process.
Constitutional Document: It serves as the company's constitutional document, defining its scope, powers, and limitations.
Protection of Members: It protects the interests of the company's members by clearly defining the objectives and limiting their liability.
External Communication: It provides clarity to external parties, such as investors, creditors, and regulatory authorities, regarding the company's objectives and powers.
https://seribangash.com/difference-public-and-private-company-law/
Binding Authority: The company and its members are bound by the provisions of the MOA. Any action taken beyond its scope may be considered ultra vires (beyond the powers) of the company and therefore void.
Amendment of MOA:
While the MOA lays down the company's fundamental principles, it is not entirely immutable. It can be amended, but only under specific circumstances and in compliance with legal procedures. Amendments typically require shareholder
