health insurance plans.
The project was creating the application where customers can compare individual health insurance
plans by providing zip code, date of birth and gender. I was involved in testing the application that was
used for checking the eligibility, claim processing and claim status. My responsibility was to test the
EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) database.
Responsibilities:
• Worked with Business Analyst and QA Lead in reviewing and analyzing the business requirements
Documents and functional requirements.
• Imported preexisting Microsoft Word and Excel-based requirements and tests for analysis in MQC.
• Prepared Test Cases based on business requirements.

Role: QAAnalyst
Direct Billing and Payments deal with the billing amounts for the various coverage plans taken by the
participants and the payments made by them. Participants opt for the various coverage plans for
themselves and their dependents and they are charged for the respective premiums accordingly.
Participants, who take the coverage, interact with the Customer Service Centre through web or IVR
(Interactive Voice
Recorder) and make elections/changes for the various premiums available at the time of enrollment.
After enrollment in various plans DBP produces monthly billing notices for the participants. These
billing notices are sent to the participants the month prior to the month of coverage. Participants send
their payments to a lockbox. These payments are deposited to the demand deposit account. Lockbox
provides daily payment files and direct debit rejects. DBP produces a file of direct debit instructions.
Direct debit instructions are sent to the lockbox provider prior to the payment date. Lockbox provider
verifies with the banks and payments for valid direct debit instructions are processed. Direct debit rejects
are returned to the lockbox provider which interacts with TBA and conveys the information to the
participants. Lockbox debits valid individual participants accounts on payment due date.

Lockbox provider verifies with the banks and payments for valid direct debit instructions are processed. Direct debit rejects are returned to the lockbox provider which interacts with TBA and conveys the information to the participants.
