This document provides guidance on evaluating educational apps. It discusses why evaluation is important given the large number of apps available. It recommends looking at reviews but also getting expert opinions. Rubrics are suggested to evaluate apps based on relevance, customization, feedback, thinking skills, engagement, and sharing. A checklist is also provided covering app purpose, content, design, accessibility, costs, and updates. Several sample rubrics are described that can help systematically evaluate apps. The goal is to help teachers identify apps that best support student learning needs.
This webinar is specifically developed for anyone currently managing a computer center, librarians involved in computer-related programs, those who support digital literacy programs, or BTOP grant recipients. You will leave with an understanding of how to track the impact of your public access computers and computer training programs.
The document introduces StudentFlowPatterns (SFP), a software program that analyzes the flow of students through educational courses. SFP allows educators to understand factors influencing student throughput, compare strategies to improve efficiency, and manage enrollment levels. Users enter key data about student enrollment and credits into SFP, which then displays the current flow pattern and metrics to analyze performance and identify improvement opportunities. The program is available for purchase at affordable rates and aims to help educators maximize student outcomes while minimizing costs.

This document outlines a capstone project to develop a Graduates' Online Tracker system with a mobile app and integrated desktop system for Our Lady of Pillar College San Manuel Incorporated. The system will allow the school to track graduate outcomes and identify potential deficiencies in educational curricula. It will give graduates a way to view announcements and job opportunities. Data gathered from alumni will be analyzed using data visualization charts to help administrators and teachers evaluate programs and improve teaching standards and curricula. The project aims to benefit alumni, administrators, students, and future researchers. It will use agile development methodology and gather input from school staff and alumni.

This document summarizes an opportunity analysis project for a collaborative learning cloud called SkillOut. It includes sections on the project overview, application mockups, market size estimation and assumptions, market potential, interviews and surveys conducted, lessons learned, and introductions of team members. The project aims to create a new innovative education system using today's technologies and learning about neuroscience to meet tomorrow's needs by tearing down walls of the current system. Market size estimates 500 universities with 4.5 million students subscribing and paying monthly and annual fees, with additional revenue from customization, hosting, and other knowledge providers. Surveys found students want better syllabi and reputable providers, while providers want increased motivation and easy to use platforms.

The passage discusses documentation in agile software development processes. While documentation is considered important, traditional agile processes provide little internal documentation and rely heavily on verbal communication. This can lead to lapses in memory over time and make it harder to understand design rationale, especially with team turnover. The main objective of documentation is to instruct those maintaining or upgrading the system about its structure, functionality, operation, and design. Documentation is important for stakeholders like users, testers, and project managers as well.

Performance Management to Program Evaluation: Creating a Complementary Connec...nicholes21
The document summarizes a presentation on performance management and program evaluation given at the 2013 American Evaluation Association Conference. It begins with an agenda and overview of key concepts. It then discusses distinguishing performance management from program evaluation and how they complement each other. The remainder of the document uses a case study of a nonprofit called New Roads for New Visions (NRNV) to illustrate how to conduct a needs assessment, create a logic model, build a performance management system, and design a program evaluation plan to link performance management to evaluation.
The document discusses the background and rationale for developing a Java program system to automate the freshmen needs assessment process at Lipa City Colleges. It notes that the current manual system is inefficient, time-consuming and prone to errors. The proposed system aims to quickly and accurately assess student needs by automating the questionnaire, evaluation and reporting functions. It also aims to make the assessment more accessible to students. The document outlines the objectives, significance and scope of the study, and reviews related literature on guidance counseling in the Philippines to support the need for this type of system.
The first question of Getting to Outcomes is to assess the underlying needs and resources in the community. Conducting a thorough needs and resources assessment is important to understand where problems exist, which groups are most affected, prevalent risk factors, and existing community assets. The needs assessment process involves gathering both qualitative and quantitative data from various sources to define the problem and identify solutions. Combining multiple perspectives provides a comprehensive picture of the issues and resources in the community.

This document provides an overview of wound healing, its functions, stages, mechanisms, factors affecting it, and complications.
A wound is a break in the integrity of the skin or tissues, which may be associated with disruption of the structure and function.
Healing is the body’s response to injury in an attempt to restore normal structure and functions.
Healing can occur in two ways: Regeneration and Repair
There are 4 phases of wound healing: hemostasis, inflammation, proliferation, and remodeling. This document also describes the mechanism of wound healing. Factors that affect healing include infection, uncontrolled diabetes, poor nutrition, age, anemia, the presence of foreign bodies, etc.
Complications of wound healing like infection, hyperpigmentation of scar, contractures, and keloid formation.

6. Who should use this software?
o All study course administrators at post-school
institutions like universities, colleges and other
institutions of learning, responsible for the planning,
managing and funding of such study courses.
o All executive managers of post-school institutions
requiring the ability to assess the throughput
efficiency of study courses and subsequently to
introduce remedial interventions on improving these
efficiencies. This forms part of enrolment planning
and enrolment management at these institutions.
o All policy makers and funders for post-school
education at government level requiring insight into
what really drives the throughput efficiency of study
courses and therefore the output performance of
students.

7. For what purpose should the software be used?
o Firstly, to train students pursuing courses in higher education
management about the fundamentals governing the flow of
learners through a study course. Throughput efficiency and cost
considerations are very important facets shaping the skills of these
future managers.
o Secondly, to provide lecturers at post-school educational
institutions with a virtual laboratory to assess the current
throughput efficiency of their study courses and the unit costs for
graduates, and to introduce remedial action where required.
o Thirdly, to empower educational institution managers to properly
analyse and manage the size of their student enrolments by using
information about throughput efficiencies and costs to produce a
graduate.

Key benefits of using this software
o This is the first software programme providing a

o The software programme does not operate at the
level of the micro-dynamics of flow patterns, but
follows a macro approach which is easy to
understand without requiring extensive
mathematical background.
o The software programme is able to run on its own
without being connected to the large databases used
by post-school institutions for cohort studies and
similar types of analysis.

9. The seven essential quantities for flow patterns
According to the theoretical study published in 2015, there are seven quantities
required to give a complete description of the flow of students through a study
course. The two most important of these quantities are :
o The unduplicated headcount H/N of students enrolled for the course; and
o The successful module credits S/N accumulated by students to a maximum of 1
credit per student per year.
The other five quantities serve to define the values of H/N and S/N. All seven of
these essential quantities can only exist inside a so-called flow triangle in the H-S
plane. This flow triangle is key to the understanding of the flow of students
through a course.
The software for the analysis of flow patterns firstly requires detail to be entered
for some of the essential quantities. The flow triangle diagram then provides the
basis for further analysis.

12. Use of the software:
analysing a flow pattern
Finally, the flow pattern Y needs to
be analysed in terms of the
information below as provided to
the immediate right of the
triangular flow diagram. Strategies
can now be designed to gradually
move configuration Y towards X
which represents the perfect
throughput configuration for full-
time studies. For part-time studies
the targets are slightly different.
