Youth Events
Group events within the church, and fellowship events off church campus, that give
opportunities for students to invite their friends. Game nights, worship nights, bowling or movie
outings, etc.!
Connecting with Students and Children on Campus for Non-Church Activities
Foster relationships and plant seeds with any groups using the SCC campus for non-church
related functions, e.g., Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, Homework Angels (I know that the Homework
Angels is already a church outreach, but I would like to plant seeds with these children who may
need a student ministry in the future).!
Creating environments and opportunities for faith to grow!
Weekly Worship
Gathering on a consistent basis to study the bible, pray, and worship God in a way that students
connect with and enjoy. A time for students to learn about their faith, ask questions and cultivate
a relationship with their Savior.!
Life-giving Relationships
One on one or small group mentoring from the student director and adult volunteers. A genuine
interest taken in each of the students’ lives and hearts. Relationships that go deeper than “an
hour at youth group.” !
Fellowship Gatherings
On and off campus activities developed for the sole purpose of building friendship, relationship
and community. !
Serving
Opportunities for students to respond to their faith by serving others. Mission projects, assisting
the elderly, and community clean up are just a few examples. !
Transformational Events
Off campus events that promote spiritual growth in astounding ways. Summer camp, retreats
and missions trips fall in to this category. !
Utilizing adults to serve this growing ministry!
Adult Mentors
Volunteers who are willing to develop and cultivate mentoring relationships with students. Adults
who can be available during times of worship, special events, and important times in a students’

Adult Leadership Team
A team of adults who work with the student director to creatively brainstorm new ideas, plan
events, evaluate the progress, and serve the vision of the student ministry at SCC!
Parental Empowerment
