Josh McDowell Ministries (2001 Plano Parkway,Plano, TX, 75000) (Aug. 2016 – present)
Josh’s Traveling Assistant– Traveled with Josh and during his 200 days of travel and facilitated a well-
run speaking event while helping maintain clear lines of communication between Josh and his team
 Responsibility – My tasks weren’t always complicated but they were usually important. If
something went wrong at an event of if information wasn’t passed along to and from Josh
there could be far reaching consequences.
 ProblemSolving – On the road a variety of unexpected problems would come up that I would
have to quickly identify and work to solve.
 Leadership – during a speaking event I would have to coordinate with the Church and direct
their volunteers to ensure an event was set up correctly.
 Insight – While traveling alongside Josh I was able to watch him conduct his ministry on a day
to day basis. This has given me invaluable insight into how ministry is done as well as an
increased knowledge on apologetics, cultural shift, and other topics Josh specializes in.

My Five Principles for Effective Ministry
1. Love is a believer's most effective ministry tool.
2. No ministry is too large to fail without the hand of blessing from God often brought on
by the fervent prayer of His children.
3. Leaders owe their followers a well thought-out and clearly comminicated vision for the
future.
4. Even in growth, one should never underestimate the need for authentic small group
connections and meaningful one-on-one discipleship.
5. Large events should reach a high standard of excellence due to the large number of
people who gave up their time to attend.

Statement of Faith
Theology: I believe in the triune God (Father,Son, Holy Spirit) (Mt. 28:19). I believe God is holy,
immutable, eternal and morally perfect (Isaiah 6:3, Leviticus 21:8, 1 Peter 1:16, Exodus 3:14, James
1:13).
Bibliology:I believe that the Bible in its original autographs is the inspired word of God (2 Tim. 3:16, 2
Peter 1:20).
Doctrine ofOrigins:I believe that God created the whole world in seven days (Genesis 1-2). I believe
that His creation was good (Genesis 1-2). I believe God created man in his own image as a unique
creation (Genesis 1). I believe man rebelled against God and brought sin into the world (Genesis 3,
Romans 5:12).
Angelology/Demonology:I believe in the existence of angels and demons (Hebrews 1:7, 2 Peter 2:11). I
believe that Satan is a realbeing who works for evil in this world. I believe that Satan and his demons are
fallen angels who chose to rebel against God and who will, at the end of time, be cast into the lake of fire
because of their opposition to God (Jude 1:6) .
Hamartiology /Christology/Soteriology:I believe that all men are condemned to death and eternal
damnation to hell as a result of sin (Romans 6:23). However,God, in his grace, sent Christ to die as the
propitiation for mans sins (Eph. 2:8). Christ, though deity, came as a man, died for the sins of the world
and was raised to life again (John 3:16). Through this act, man can now be justified under God if he
confesses Christ as his lord and savior, acknowledges that he is a sinner, and believes in Christ’s act to
redeem him (Romans 10:9). Through man’s faith, and God’s gracious act in Christ, man can reconcile his
relationship with God and gain eternal life in God’s presence.
Eschatology:I believe that Christ will return at the end of time. I believe he will rapture his church and
subsequently judge the world (acts 15:16, Psalms 98:9). I believe that the current earth will pass away
and man will spend eternity in either the lake of fire or with God depending on whether they accept Christ
(Revelations 21:1).
