Targeting Students

“First impression is the last
impression”
For attracting and connecting with students we
have to show them if they join our company or
use it services they will never get disappointed.
We have to show the future to them that they
can achieve by working with/for us.
How to connect with students
 Try to influence them by hosting or sponsoring an
event of ours in there college or area by this way we
will have a platform and it will definitely give rise to
our popularity.
 Contacting college placement teams and asking them
if they need any kind of our company internships or
jobs for there students.
 Using online portals like Frapp, Linkidin, etc for
posting job vacancy.
Cont.
 We can even try advertisements and posts
which would include past achievements of our
company.
 Organizing hackathons or other type of events
by which they can interact among themselves
as well to us.
Interview Procedure
If the job post is for technical students then
 Give them a way to demonstrate themselves
via online test mode by this both student as
well as the recruiter will save his/her time for
eliminating one by one.
 Based on the requirements shortlist the
candidates.
Cont.
 Firstly, have a phone interview with them by this we
can know there mannerism and communication skills
first hand.
 If the candidate passes the phone interview then
organize a video call or face-to-face round on the basis
of recruiter and student as if he is from different state
it will save the travel, expenses and most importantly
time of both party.
To uncover the best candidate
 Describe a problem which they will face in
their job and ask them during application time
that how you will fix it?
 Then have a chat with them that why did they
chose that solution.
Cont.
Meet the team/students in a social setting-
Do they display behaviors you are looking for?
Do they listen when someone speaks?
Are they interested in learning or just talking
about themselves?
How do people react around them?
And etc.
For Monetary
 We have to provide them a vision in which if
they work with/for us then they would be
investing in a good brand and there effort
would be paid later in future.
 They would be provided with certification as
well as letter of recommendation which will
always help them.
When interviewing ask questions, don’t
interrogate?
Make them relax to know the real person behind
the resume.
