Strategic planning is a process where a business sits down for 2-3 days to plan their future strategy through specific conversations. The conversations cover understanding the external environment, developing a vision, analyzing their current position, and mapping a roadmap. The process is then cascaded to other teams to operationalize the strategic plan. The intended results are shared vision, documented plans, aligned teams and individuals, and a business that understands its role. An external facilitator is used to remain neutral and effectively manage the process.
