This document analyzes Adele's music video for "Someone Like You" through intertextual references to other works. It describes scenes from the video where the protagonist reflects on a past relationship through flashbacks while singing lyrics from the song. These flashbacks show her memories with her ex-partner and destroying a painting of him in anger. In the end, she leaves for good while reminiscing on their past through the lyrics and imagery.
