Here is the storyboard that we created. It was drawn in order for us to know exactly what we would be shooting and when we edited, what order the shots would be put into.
The document outlines the production schedule and call sheet for the short film "Back From the Edge" over three days of shooting. The film follows the character Liam Kay as he struggles with drug addiction and homelessness before seeking rehabilitation. Scenes will be shot at various London locations including a cemetery, house, alleyway, train, and Waterloo Bridge. The call sheet details the scenes, locations, cast and crew call times, and wardrobe and props needed.
Here is a collection of all of our recorded meetings that we had over the course of the project. This enabled us to know what we would be doing each week.
- The group will produce a 3 minute and 53 second music video for James Arthur's song "Back from the Edge" to be completed by January 13, 2017.
- The music video will have a pop genre and target audience of 15-22 year olds of both sexes to convey the serious message of turning your life around.
- The story will follow Liam Kay, an 18 year old who abuses drugs and is depressed following his parents' death, but is saved from suicide on Waterloo Bridge and begins to rebuild his life.
- The style will have a gloomy start but conclude happily to show that one can recover from their lowest point.
- The approximate budget for filming, editing, and producing
This document contains location release forms granting permission to Lauren Rosenfeld, Millie West, Alex Pereira & Alex Dwyer to enter and film at several properties in London and Essex between December 10th and 16th for their BTEC National Diploma in Creative Media Production coursework. The forms outline the locations, dates, times and rights granted to the students to photograph, film and record sound at the properties for educational purposes.

This document contains location scouting sheets from four students - Alex Pereira, Millie West, Alex Dwyer, and Lauren Rosenfeld - for the film production "Back From the Edge" by James Arthur. The sheets detail seven potential filming locations in and around Ilford and London, including a house, bridge, train station, rehabilitation center, street, alleyway, and graveyard. Each sheet provides information on the site address, contact details, availability, parking, and distance from home and college.
We individually wrote a self evaluation, that consisted of both attributes we believe went well, as well as those that we think we could've improved on during pre production, production and post production.
This document contains summaries of various locations including a bridge with pavement and railing, a bedroom with a bed and desk, stairs leading to a bedroom and bathroom, a living room with chairs and couches, a street with houses and driveways, a train with seats and doors, a graveyard with paths and trees, a rehab center with a bench and entrance, and an alleyway with houses and fences.
The document discusses the resources needed to create a music video for an unreleased song by James Arthur. It mentions that the audio track of the song is essential. It also discusses choosing backup songs in case a music video is released for the primary track. The document outlines a £50 budget to cover costs of production and mentions splitting costs between group members. It discusses using a Panasonic video camera to film in HD quality. It also mentions using a photo camera to scout locations and create a storyboard. The group will use Final Cut Pro software to edit the video. Deadlines and time management are important to complete the project on schedule. Actors and crew will contribute to making the music video.
The document discusses various principles and techniques for editing music videos. It defines editing as manipulating footage to create a final product that tells a story through time and space manipulation. Some key points discussed include:
- Editing cuts out unnecessary material to create a smooth final piece that conveys the intended message.
- Reasons for editing include changing order, improving footage, and creating emotion and pace.
- Effective editing uses a combination of shots like long, mid, and close-up shots in a logical order.
- Pace is created through matching cuts to the music's beat or tempo. Faster beats use quicker cuts.
- Important rules discussed include the 180-degree rule and maintaining continuity

The document discusses the results of a study on the effects of exercise on memory and thinking abilities in older adults. The study found that regular exercise can help reduce the decline in thinking abilities that often occurs with age. Older adults who exercised regularly performed better on cognitive tests and brain scans showed they had greater activity in important areas for memory and learning compared to less active peers.
The document contains minutes from several meetings of a group working on a music video production. It details the delegation of roles, the storyline about a drug addict redeeming himself, locations and transportation plans, costumes and props, filming schedules, and progress updates on the script, storyboard, filming, and editing. Key details include the director, actors, and roles assigned. The target audience is 18-30 year olds and filming will take place at several locations over multiple dates in November and December before editing is completed in January.

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.
