Stop & Wait ARQ is a computer networking protocol that uses acknowledgements to ensure reliable data transmission over an unreliable channel, where the sender waits for an acknowledgment after each packet is sent before transmitting the next packet, avoiding data loss but resulting in delays if the acknowledgment is lost or delayed.
