This document describes several common stock characters that are often featured in horror films, including the jock, wanderer, popular girl, pandora, final girl, and pervert. The jock is typically the athletic leader of the group, while the wanderer explores on their own and gets killed. The popular girl is beautiful but often one of the first victims. Pandora seems innocent at first but is later revealed as the killer or accomplice. The final girl survives all the killings. The pervert is sexually motivated and also gets killed.

2. The Jock
The cool alpha male of the group,
who is seen as the leader due to his
sporting achievements. Normally
seen wearing a baseball jacket.

3. The Wanderer
A brave member within the group who breaks
apart from other characters to go and explore
the location, seek lost members of the group
or go in search for help and ends up getting
killed.

4. The Popular Girl
The beautiful cool girl who everyone
loves and aspires to be like, usually dating
the most popular boy in the school or the
‘jock’. The popular girl is often killed of
near the start of the film due to their
state of popularity

5. Pandora
Pandora is the misleading character who appears
to be innocent at the start but as the story unveils
their true side is shown, usually as the killer or an
acomplice of the killer. A good example to
illustrate this is Esther from ‘Orphan’

6. The Final Girl
The final girl is the last girl in the group to
survive the killings despite the
protagonist sometimes doing everything
in their power to get to them.
Sydney in Scream 4 and Britanny Snow in
Prom night.

7. The Pervert
The ‘pervert’ is a very sexually motivated
character (usually male characters) who, despite
not being the main focus of the killer, always ends
up getting killed along with the jock/popular girl.
