Stereotyping Questionnaire Assignment 
Description: This assignment was designed to develop various stereotypes or assumptions about 
several people that were pre-determined. Then, as a class we evaluated these stereotypes which 
allowed us to compare how we view people within society.

Stereotyping Questionnaire 
Stereotype Description 
1. A businessman A person that either owns and operates his/her 
own company and is highly skilled in managing 
finance and general money-making techniques. 
Typically is always using a cell phone and 
spends a lot of time away from home. 
2. A rich person A person that possesses an abundance of money 
and uses it to possibly live a lavish lifestyle. 
Mostly these individuals like to show off what 
they have and drive fancy cars while wearing 
fancy clothes. 
3. A typical person your age A person that is probably a student and spends 
most of his/her time studying, hanging out with 
friends, or in some cases working a part-time 
job. 
4. A poor person An individual who struggles from lack of 
monetary means and in-turn, lacks clothing, 
food, water, or shelter. They often beg for 
money and are too lazy to get a job. 
5. A smart student An individual who is quite studious through 
activities such as note-taking, preparing for 
exams, and staying attentive in class time 
which results in a high absorption of knowledge 
for said individual. They typically don’t have 
many friends and don’t get out much. 
6. A stubborn person An individual who typically doesn’t sway from
a particular mindset and has difficulty being 
persuaded. They are often quite rude and 
because of that they have no friends. 
7. A young mother A woman who is typically in her teenage years 
or early twenties who is raising a child. She is 
seen as a whore and a lazy person. 
8. An old person An individual who is about the age of sixty five 
who may have health issues or be generally 
feeble. They are sometimes grouchy and enjoy 
picking on the younger generations. 
9. A foreigner From a U.S. citizens’ perspective, a person who 
is from outside of the United States. They 
usually talk fast and wear clothes that are too 
big for them. 
10. A stock trader A person who aims for financial gain through 
the stock market by selling stocks. They are 
quite snobby and drive fancy cars in nice 
business suits. 
11. A bus driver A person who has the occupation of operating 
a school bus to transport students to and from 
from school, field trips, sporting events etc. 
Most of the time they are fat and aren’t 
are single. 
12. A singer An individual who is a singing professional 
and uses it as a career, or an individual that 
sings for enjoyment through competitions, 
church choirs, bands, etc. They typically love 
to talk about themselves and stare at 
themselves in the mirror all day.
