3. StarStrand Basic Bio Basic comes on a convenient 16 ft. 4 in. reel 1.46 Watts/Ft 83 Lumens/Ft Cuttable every 2 in. The only StarStrand tape that can be cut and reconnected to a power feed or an additional piece of tape The minimum run is 1 ft. The maximum run is 16.5 ft. before voltage drop *However, if the driver is plugged into the four way connector, you may add another 16.5 feet on the opposite side of the original leg doubling the maximum run to 33 ft. StarStrand Starchip Technology Every 3 diodes, an IC chip (Integrated Circuit) is placed on the PC board The IC chip’s purpose: Maintain constant voltage allowing for longer runs without light loss Due to this, it prevents diodes closest to the driver from experiencing premature burnout Therefore, the smooth current increases diode life Prevents over voltage to diodes The IC chip is standard with the Super, Ultra, RGB, and Aqua’s PC boards
