2. he objective of this program is to express our gratitude to every person who helped make
this new track and field possible. So many of you have sacrificed time, money and re-
sources, and I hope seeing these new facilities will be gratifying. There are a few key peo-
ple, who have been the core of this project, that deserve my first tribute.
Jesus ~ You told me in February 2007 to build a new track for Ripon as a tangible expres-
sion of Your love for this town. May You receive all the glory on behalf of my part.
Vince ~ There are no words to describe my admiration, gratitude, and the bond my heart
has with you. Your commitment to this herculean construction project has been mind-bog-
gling. Your skills are limitless, and when you told me, “When we work together, there’s
nothing we can’t do.” I knew we would be spending the rest of our lives proving it.
T.J. ~ Sacrificing all your high school summers, a normal family-life, and taking com-
mand of the stadium when Dad was at the firehouse, is just a partial list of your enormous
part in this project. Your courage to play such a critical role in this physically formidable
project is exemplary.
Lt. Hobbs. Luke ~ Your command presence served you well during your summers & holi-
days working on the stadium. You never complained (except when we DIDN’T call you to
come help) and always gave us the muscle and skill we needed when your Sac State &
Army schedule allowed.
Emily Anne ~ You’re the sunshine, the glue, the song that kept ‘Hobbs Haven’ running all
these years. Your faith and grace have freed me up to keep pace with the demands of this
love-work. I couldn’t be more grateful for and proud of you.
May this stadium be a constant reminder of what can happen when there is vision.

RINA’S RUN STAYS IN THE RACE!
Rina’s Run is lovingly named after Rina Brocchini, the mother of Bob
Brocchini, who left a passion for giving back to our community deeply
planted in her children and grandchildren. It’s our only annual fundraiser
and will continue to be held the Saturday of Mother’s Day weekend.
Sponsors and volunteers are sought year-round and the May 9, 2015
event will help raise funds for much - needed hurdles and ADA compliant
bathrooms.
May their example challenge every one of us to not only DREAM
where we can make a difference with our resources (time,
money, equipment…), but ACTIVELY practice community.

Rockin’ R Grading and Excavat-
ing is an Oakdale-based, family-
ran company that has no kids in
Ripon. Myron, Robyn, and Misty
Costa heard about the need and
showed up like the Cavalry with
all sorts of heavy equipment and
operators like Chris Bales. They
helped demolish and grade in
2012, then came back for more
when we needed 1200 Cubic
Yards of the track dirt removed
this summer.

“FOREMAN”. Barely a high school senior, she

As we celebrate the first $1.5 million conquered, let
us not forget that the practically condemnable
bleachers and ADA inaccessible bathrooms desper-
ately need to be replaced.
The RUSD has allocated $100,000 for future bath-
rooms, which will be spent on architectural plans. It's
important to continue to remind the school district of
the importance of this cultural hub and outdoor
classroom. We will continue to manage the stadium
project, raise funds through Rina's Run and pursue
some grant funding.
