1. Ripon High School Stadium "before" (2012)
In 2007, Ripon Community Athletic Foundation (RCAF) was formed as a non-profit organization to start
a grassroots fundraising campaign in Ripon (population 15,000). Our goal was to bring a regulation-
length track to our town for the first time since the 80's, as well as sidewalks, and a field that would
bring our homeless soccer teams "home" to their own campus for the first time. Over 564
donors/volunteers have partnered with RCAF to bring us SO CLOSE to finishing Phase One.
Demolition began May 24, 2012...and approximately $1 million in improvements later, we now see
this...
2. Ripon High School Stadium "almost-after"
For the first time, this 70+ year old facility has sidewalks, which is a major improvement over the dirt! A
$100,000 scoreboard donated by PG&E is another great addition. But, notice the D-shaped asphalt
spaces behind the endzones? We need $40,000 by December 2012 to cover the asphalt with all-weather
surfacing for track and field events in time for track season.
3. Ripon High Stadium,
Ripon's centerpiece.
Virtually every student attending Ripon Unified Schools utilizes this facility.
Ripon Christian Football & Ripon Chiefs Pop-Warner teams use it too. It is a
major cultural hub in Ripon.
Rina's Run 5K & Half-Marathon is aggressively searching for
sponsors to help us reach our $40,000 goal for this December's
deadline. (We need to be ready for track season) This year's event will be a
huge success, with a finish-line party/health fair in the stadium itself.
If you, or someone you know, would enjoy some tax-deductible publicity
(including having your name on the freeway-facing side of the
scoreboard's LED screen &/or a logo on the back of over 700 race shirts)
