The teacher used a flex cam to project a poem about leprechauns onto the screen for the class to read together. The students were engaged and able to participate. For future lessons, the teacher plans to allow more student interaction and zoom in on specific words. Technology was used to ensure all students could see the poem and engage with unfamiliar words.

9. Why use Technology?
 It was important for me to use technology for this
lesson because I needed a way for all the students to
see the poem.
 Before reading the poem, I was able to point out words
that I didn’t think they would know by using the flex
cam and projecting the poem and the word I was
pointing to on the screen.
 This also allowed students to come up and point to
their favorite parts of the poem.
 This caught the student’s attention because it was
something different and out of the ordinary.
