1. What SSS has done for me?
By Sophia E. Cooper
For this article, I interviewed SSS student Ryan Jones. Ryan has been a member of Student
Support Services since he arrived at Frostburg. He states that the finical assistance and academic
advising has vastly contributed to his successes as a student. Now as a senior, Mr. Jones is the current
recipient of the Student Support Service “Contributing to College life” award. He holds several offices
around campus. He is president of both the SSS executive board as well as Student Communication
Studies Association. He also actively participates in NCNW, NAACP, and SGA while maintaining a
superior G.P.A. Ryan attributes much of his success to his adviser Holly Clark. He says “Holly has always
helped me. I talk to her more than I do my other advisor. I love SSS and I wish I could stop by the office
more often”.
