EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
Phi Theta Kappa 2015 – Current
• This is the international honors society for two-year colleges. I first joined Phi Theta Kappa in
the fall of 2015 and to my luck, they were looking for officers to come aboard. I gladly ran for
office and became the senator of membership. My duties included planning, and organizing the
induction ceremony. As well as keeping track of the members who came to events and
meetings. The following year I decided to run for president, unfortunately, I did not win but I

did however become vice president. I couldn't be happier with this position, Jonathan
(President) and myself are a perfect team and we have many amazing plans this school year.
Global Distinction Program 2016 – Current
• I am currently pursuing the global distinction recognition at Valencia College. This program is
made for students who have the drive to become a global citizen. To become a global citizen,
we have to take enhanced courses as well as complete a capstone project. I am currently
working on my capstone; I have chosen the topic "Is cooperation more beneficial than conflict."
I will specifically research on previous nations cooperation’s and how it was beneficial as well as
nations who had conflicts with each other.
Future Medical Professionals 2015 – 2016
• This club is for people whose majors are related to the medical field. I was the treasurer last
school year for this club. We brought in guest speakers from medical schools as well as took
trips to medical schools to access further information for our members. During the end of the
spring semester, I was offered the president position for the club but I kindly declined due to my
intentions of being the president of Phi Theta Kappa.
Give Kids the World 2016 – Current
• A beautiful organization that provides children with life-threatening diseases with their family a
full week vacation for free. It starts with one child’s wish to go to Disney World and that’s where
Give Kids the World comes in. The Village provides completely free villas to the family, as well as
transportation, food, and tickets to the parks. The Give Kids the World village is completely run
by Volunteers and I am proud to be one of those volunteers.
Relay for Life 2009 – Current
• This amazing organization raises money for cancer research and patient in need. Relay for Life
holds hundreds of fundraising events all over the U.S. Each event is slightly different but they all
have the same goal, to raise as much money as possible. I am happy to say that I have been a
part of the one in my area since I was a freshman in high school. Our local event is split by
teams, and after high school I created my own team. This organization has a soft place in my
heart and I will be a part of it for a very long time. Cancer never sleeps and neither will we.
