5. 1 - Transprograming
Bopiliao Historic Block is a lively site containing
different communities
. It’s a mix-use type, features Taiwan’s urban
culture providing possibilities to mix programs
together. This site has potential to develop an
attractive landmark that can become a cultural
trigger in the city. It’s located in Lao-Song Ele-
mentary School which provides opportunities to
build multiple types of experimental performing
spaces in an intense city also allow children to
interact with performing arts or activities
through daily lives.
4 Design Concept x Strategy

當 劇場疊加在剝皮寮街區中的
老松國小,偌大的操場上不再零落
出下課時間也三三兩兩的小朋友,
白天上課、夜晚劇場的活動分別帶
出不同使用者密度的高峰低谷,交
互穿插在基地上,靈活的支配了這
一塊都市開放空間的使用權,碰撞
出表演藝術深植基本國民教育的火
花。提供少子化後的校地,新型態
再生的可能。
6. 2 - Space Defined by Frames
Frame is a refine element of theater. It play role of hanging a
set or professional equipment. Picture a virtual world in audi-
ence’s mind. It’s also a magical to play with vanishing points
and perspectives to visualize scene. The public direction of
street activities involves into the site, while turning perpen-
dicular to the frame’s direction, the user encounters a whole
theatre space created by countless frames.

7. 3 - Equipment Creates
Activities
Equipment creates new possi-
bilities to mix multiple activi-
ties. On the stage, lighting
creates space, defines bound-
ary, adjusts atmosphere,
expresses emotions, and
hidden audience. In this case
all the spaces are not en-
closed by physical walls, but
the hanging system makes the
enclosure. Activities surround
the frames. They are open and
allow people to join. This type
of architectural method
releases space from 4 walls!<三>設施創造活動
一張張座椅圍出了一盞燈
的光暈,人們圍坐,紛紛聊起
向晚的第一句閒話。當光線行
走出範圍,劇場之境頓生,一
張桌板,是留在教室裡的童年?
也是一場乒乓球的賽局,在生
活場景裡,不是一個方正的運
動中心,社區辦公室旁邊那間
冷氣太強的閱覽室,或是巷口
暗夜那間5樓公寓排練場,下戲
後的他在觀眾席點起了一支菸
,看著廣場那一端的藍球賽正
精彩...當活動空間被時間替換
使用權,這一秒,誰才是觀眾?
誰又是演員?
8. 4 - Transparent Publicity Evoke by Walls
The new typology of public space should be creative! Several frames
dominate a strong direction by following urban road system and
activity context from Historic Block. People come in without aware-
ness and start to discover. While walking, you will be evoked by
public direction which creates a transparent space seeming as a
theatre production museum. People can see through backstage
between the walls to understand how crews set up a play and
follow layers to experience different program in
field.
<四>穿透的表演藝術實驗場
公開表演藝術的真實,憑開放劇場
的可視性,把藝術的寂寞還給人間。
1000人席次的主舞台,由透過動線控制
的三層空間所打造,上自下分別管理了
多功能的公共參與平台、貓道工作空間
、舞台暨觀眾席,創造360度包覆性的日
常觀看,被發生被偶遇。劇場宛如一座
動態的表演藝術博物館,展演戲劇創作
過程,呈現現實中藝術的樣子,這些未
完成不經意的被演出,成為孩子生活中
的劇目,這一次建築拿掉高牆,不再用
最直覺的方法控制環境,才真正還之於
大眾,接觸戲劇的起跑點。
