This collection is entitled “The Occult Sound of Ink Ocean”, which means that the field of cumulate color-ink turns into an artistic ocean that gives forth mysterious sounds. This is an inspiration from Weixin, a monk of the Song Dynasty, who said, “(In the process of meditation,) at first when you look at mountain and water, you see mountain and water (in general). Then when you look at mountain and water, you (giving up everything) see no mountain and water. Finally, when you look at mountain and water, you (in contemplation) see only mountain and water.” My painting goes a further step: When you look at mountain and water, there is no mountain and water. It is empty, but there is light sound; as Laozi said, “Light is loud”, it is mysterious so called “occult sound.” To match this subject, the paintings for this monograph are done with more Chinese black ink and less bright colors. In style, they are either surrealistic or abstract, which evoke mysterious atmosphere with space for imagination
This document contains notes and formulas for mathematics from Form 1 to Form 5. It covers topics such as solid geometry, circle theorems, polygons, factorisation, indices, linear equations, trigonometry, statistics, and lines and planes. For each topic, key formulas and properties are listed. For example, under solid geometry it defines the formulas for calculating the areas and volumes of shapes like cubes, cuboids, cylinders, cones and spheres. Under statistics it explains how to calculate measures like the mean, mode, median, and introduces different types of graphs like histograms and frequency polygons.
This document contains chemistry notes on various topics including rates of reaction, chemical reactions, oxidation and reduction reactions, and the reactivity series. It provides examples and observations for different types of reactions such as precipitation reactions, acid-base reactions, combustion reactions, and oxidation-reduction reactions using various reagents. Diagrams are included to illustrate concepts like the electrochemical series and reactivity of halogens. The notes are intended to summarize key information for a Form 5 chemistry course.
Chemical formulae, equations, calculations, and reactions are summarized. Molar mass, moles, volume, and molarity calculations are explained for gases, solids, liquids, and solutions. Common cationic and anionic symbols are listed. Formulae for molecules and ions are provided. Periodic trends and reactions of Groups 1 and 17 are summarized. Electrochemistry principles of electrolytes, discharge reactions, and test observations are condensed. Characteristics of acids, bases, and ionization are highlighted. Solubility, preparation, color, and effects of heating for various salts are summarized concisely.
