Designing and Building (Your Own) UI Frameworks For the EnterpriseExoLeaders.com
The enterprise UI landscape is often disjointed and full of inconsistencies. There will often be multiple design and development teams working independently with little visual or functional reuse. In this session you’ll learn some strategies and best practices for designing and building robust enterprise-wide UI components that can be leveraged in both prototypes and production. You’ll learn how to leverage UX best practices to test design patterns before they get built and then how to maintain the usability of those components as they evolve across the enterprise. Bring your laptop for guided exercises using Angular.js to illustrate the concepts.
Presented by Matt Kesler
In this workshop, engineers of Works Applications will talk about their technology and knowledge. We will introduce our way of UI/UX about "AI Works" development.

UI Design Patterns for Search & Information DiscoveryTony Russell-Rose
This talk examines the role of patterns in designing information search and discovery applications, describes some of the challenges involved in creating the Endeca UI Design Pattern Library, and explores some of the issues involved in maintaining and growing a pattern library as a resource for a company as well as the wider user experience design community.
Enterprise UI: Transforming enterprise application into engaging experienceSide Projects
A quick look on how major tech enterprise companies transforming applications into engaging experience through visually attractive interfaces and design patterns
Let’s face it. Enterprise isn’t sexy… yet. While the consumer space is now driven by user-centered design and design-driven products, Enterprise is still getting up to speed. And that presents a huge opportunity for UX designers to have a real and tangible impact on millions of peoples day-to-day. This talk will provide a brief overview of the opportunity in the B2B space, and provide some practical guidance on some of its specific challenges:
• Working with stakeholders who aren’t familiar with UX
• Legacy products and the art of compromise
• Enterprise users – tips on finding these mythical creatures
Uday Gajendar, Principal Designer at Peel and previously of Oracle and Citrix, talks about how craft—the intentional, thoughtful design of processes and products—fits into the wicked complex design workflow for enterprise products, where massive scale and convoluted processes present huge UX challenges.
Daniel explains how to use participatory design to cut through complexity. Learn useful tactics based on his experience building and growing the UX discipline at Sumo Logic.

Q: What's the best UX process for a project of piece of work?
A: It depends.
At SEEK, we redefined our UX process so that it could guide designers without being too prescriptive. By defining a set of principles that the designer should consider and apply at various phases of the project, they are able to decide which activities and conversations need to occur in order to satisfy the principles and goals.

UX & UI Design behind SDL’s Customer Experience CloudPhilipp Engel
This slide deck illustrates the journey SDL’s user experience design community went through over the course of the last few years. As part of that process, UX design thinking proved to be an invaluable transformational element and an innovational catalyst in transforming a set of disconnected and separate products into one consistent service offering, the SDL Customer Experience Cloud. You can do better! Improve your design process (UX Scotland)Peter Boersma
To do great work, you need to influence more parts of the design process than the creation of wireframes or running usability tests. I will walk you through the expanded sphere of influence on the user experience. I will encourage you to look beyond your deliverables, outside of your department and past your current way of working. I will help you spot opportunities and draft a plan to improve your design process.
This session will be a mix of tutorial and exercises ranging from listing deliverables to drawing an org chart. The intended audience is UX practitioners who want to expand their influence in order to improve the way design is done in their organisation.
