This document provides an overview and agenda for a session about creating a SharePoint 2013 development virtual machine. It includes high-level steps for installing Windows Server, running packaged scripts, configuring the VM, setting up Active Directory and SQL Server, and installing SharePoint. Recommended software includes VMware Player, Windows Server 2012 R2, SQL Server 2014, SharePoint 2013 prerequisites and updates. Packaged files and PowerShell scripts are referenced to automate the process. Hardware recommendations are also provided.
