Levantine Films's Blinded by the Light (2019) is a coming-of-age tale about a Muslim teenager who grows up in the late 1980's Britain. In the film, the teenager deals with growing up in an environment where the austere politics of the Margaret Thatcher administration and Bruce Springsteen-known for his Born in the USA anthem conveying freedom-are in conflict. In the end, the boy finds his identity through Springsteen’s music. Released last year, the film was picked up by New Line Cinema.
