An accomplished investment professional, Jamal Daniel serves as chairman of Crest Investment Company. Jamal Daniel’s responsibilities also include leading as CEO of independent production company Levantine Films and dedicating time to the Levant Foundation, a nonprofit he established to increase understanding of Middle Eastern history and culture. In 2018, the Levant Foundation’s New Levant Initiative celebrated its launch with an inaugural conference at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC. The one-day event comprised a celebration of numerous aspects of Levantine culture, including art, music, history, and cuisine. Panels of accomplished Levantine guests discussed topics such as the future of Levantine cities and the economic impact of economic integration among Levantine countries. After the conference, attendees listened to a performance of Levantine Symphony No. 1, a commissioned piece by Lebanon native Ibrahim Maalouf. The piece was performed by the Free Spirit Symphony Orchestra and featured the National Children’s Chorus of the United States.
