2. We all share our results about this
questionnaire during our meeting in
Lubzinie(Poland).
SPAIN
This questionnaire about equality at
sports was answered by 81 pupils (45
girls and 36 boys) aged 9-12. They
belong to 5th
-6th
levels in Gines Morata
school. Almería (Spain). The results are
published on Google forms

According with the results, all of our
pupils practice some sports. Most of
them usually practice sport in oficial
teams and federations where they
have to follow regulated training and
they participate in competitions.
They can practice some of this sports
at school: basketball, taekondo and
tennis.
3. The most popular sports for boys in our school is football about 40 %
and basketball 20 % and handball 15%. For girls the most popular are
basketball 30%, gymnastic 30 % and swimming 15 %.
We can say that there are some stereotypes about children’s
preferences of sport. Football is considered a sport for men, meanwhile
gymnastic is for women.
The question about sports that can be played by boys and girls together
has been misunderstood. The pupils wrote sports that they are used to
play together at school
(all ot them), instead of official competitions. For this reason we have
not relevant information about this topic.
Almost all of our students know about sports that can be played for
people with special needs. We have been working about sports at school
and they had the chance of playing some of this sports. They also met
athletes with special needs at school. So they know about basketball,
swimming, football, cycling and athletics.

COMMENT
The survey on „Sports and Equality” was made among boys and girls
from 12 to 13 years old.
Most of them practice sport 3 / 4 times a week , but only swimming is the
sport more common among boys and girls; in general boys practice
basketball and football and girls dance, athletics or gym, but they are
free to practice the sport they prefer.
Despite their habits, 59% of them think that boys and girls can practice
all sports together and in fact they practice sport at school all together.
The rest of them think that only some sports like tennis, volleyball and
swimming can be played together.
Nobody of them think that there are some sports that can be practiced
only by boys or only by girls.
So AT THE END,we can say that sport can join boys and girls But it is
widespread to use sporting activities separately for boys and girls. This
reflects the existing organization in the competitive sports field, where
males and females compete separately.
The positive aspect is that at least in school this separation is overcome
and both males and females practice all activities pleasantly together.
15. BULGARIA
Conclusions:
These are the results of Emilian Stanev High School
In Emilian Stanev school students from an early stage sports every
day.
The participation of children in sports groups is important for
better understanding of the rules and requirements of the
respective sport, as well as raising the culture of perception of
sports games.
Here too is the rule that the breadth of perception is determined
by the richness and variety of pre-activity in the field, whose
manifestations are the object of perception.
Training takes place in both school and out-of-school time. And
this means that the student must separate from his / her time for
home self-preparation on school programming material.
All students play together, even in a game like football the girls
are desirable teammates.
Favorite sports for the students are: 51% Folk ball, football 39%
, 15% swimming, 4% tennis and 1% basketball.

We applied «Sport and Equality Questionnaire» to our students as an
activity of our Erasmus+ project to find out their tendency and
perspectives to sport activities and gender equality in March, 2017.
Totaly, 136 students, 68 girls and 68 boys aged more than 13 (between
14-18) answered the questionnaire and here are the results:
76% of the students usually practice a different kind of sport and football,
volleyball, basketball and badminton are the most favourite and popular
ones for them. But they also like and practice other sports such as
swimming, jogging, karate, fitness, athletics, wrestling, table tennis etc.
While 11% of the them practise a sport everyday, 14% of them say that
they practise sports 3-4 times a week. 38% of them practise sometimes
and 16% of them say that they never practise a sport.
Most of our students (89%)play or practise sports together as boys and
girls at school or outside and this shows that how they like to be equal,
how respectful they are to gender equality and coeducation.
In their opinion, there are lots of sports that can be played or practised
by boy or girls together, but volleyball, football, basketball, swimming,
cycling and badminton are the sports that they practise
together, mostly.According to questionnaire results our students think
that the people who have any type of special need can do many kinds of
individual and team sports and basketball, swimming, football, tennis
and athletics are the most suitable ones for them.
17. Although they mostly think that all sports can be done by men and
women, 93%of them say some sports such as oil wrestling (traditional
Turkish sports) and motorbike racing can be done just by men because
they have never seen a women doing these sports before. On the other
hand, 85% of them think that there are no sports that can be played or
practised just by the girls/women.Besides 15% think that ballet is played
only by the girls.
And we can see from the results that they follow or know some famous
sportswomen such as Maria Sharapova(tennis), Williams sisters(tennis),
Alex Morgan(footballer) and also lots of famous Turkish tennis players,
basketball players and athletes very well.
As a result, we can say that sport activities have an important part in
Turkish students’ lives and Turkish teenagers like practising it with their
boy and girlfriends together at school or anywhere in equality. In Turkey,
sport activities are important and useful tools that teach people,
especially children and teenagers the gender equality and every sports
can be done by everyone,no matter men or women they are if they just
want to do it.
