3. WHO defines Health as a state of physical, mental and social well being not merely an absence of disease or infirmity.
• DIMENSIONS
• Spiritual
• Sexual
• Economical etc.
• Physical health refers to Body
• Mental health refers to Mind
• Social health refers to environment – Globe
• Spiritual health refers to Soul
• Health is a state of well being.
• Ultimately health is a positive state of well being (happiness )
• Individual may not be in a state of well being even if he is physically, mentally & socially healthy .
• Therefore there must be another dimension apart from physical, mental & social health which determines the well
beingness of the human being that is spiritual health .
• Health word has come from healing which indicates a disease , a negative concept where as health is a positive concept
• Wellness or swasthya is a correct term for health
WHAT IS HEALTH?

• The whole Universe including the man is made up of matter and energy.
• Man is the most evolved component of the universal matter and energy.
• Human matter and energy are closely connected with the universal matter and
energy.
• As per the WHO definition “Health is a state of well being”

yogic spiritual practice, one can achieve constant state of well being i.e
happiness, i.e Spiritual Health.

• Human being is the most evolved complex spiritual being
in the universe consisting of physical body, mind and soul.

• Consists of cells, organs which are matters made out of food, air & other
raw materials from nature.

• Human mind is the most evolved component in the human being and also in the entire universe.
• Planes of mind – Conscious, Sub Conscious, Unconscious and Super Conscious.
• Mind is always vibrant. Vibrant less mind is more powerful than vibrant mind.

• Super conscious mind is peaceful & has the capacity to merge with Transcendental forces.

• Dissociation of any one among Body, Mind and Soul results in death
• Occurs due to escape of bio electricity from the body to the exterior (Athma). No
death for energy.
• The body, which is a matter is transformed into some other form after death.
