Structure of Observed Learning Outcomes
SOLO Taxonomy was first described KEVIN COLLIS and
JOHN BIGGS in their 1982 book Evaluating the Quality of
Learning: The SOLO Taxonomy
The structure of observed learning outcomes taxonomy
is a model that describes level of increasing complexity in
students understanding of subject. It encourages students
to think about where they are currently with there learning
and what they need to do in order to progress.
SOLO Taxonomy
 Pre Structural
 In this stage student don't have any knowledge or understanding
 Uni Structural Level
 In this stage student have one idea about the topic
 Multi Structural Level
 At this stage student have many information about the topic
 Relational Level
 Students are able to link together knowledge
 Extended Abstract Level
 At this stage student have several ideas in new and different way
