Editor's Notes

  • #2 Welcome to the Notes section of this presentation, developed to give each Program the background needed to customize the PPT for each pitch. IMPORTANT: Please increase the size of the Notes window so that you can read all the information below. The following is an overview deck created for Healthy Athletes that can be utilized by Programs to secure gifts from corporations and other donors. You likely won’t ever present or print out all of the slides to this deck but rather use elements that make the most sense when speaking to your prospect/donor. Your first step is to localize the information in this deck so it can be customized to your Program and your market. A version of Powerpoint 2007 or higher is required to change the charts and graphics. You can then use your localized deck to support any corporate partnership/sponsorship sales opportunities, which could include event sponsorship, initiative sponsorship, cause marketing or employee engagement. Feel free to include additional local details or images that tell the story of your Program. On this title slide, be sure to update and include the following: DATE, MONTH & YEAR, NAME OF COMPANY YOU ARE PRESENTING TO “PREPARED FOR XXXX” YOUR NAME & TITLE LOGO OF THE COMPANY YOU ARE PRESENTING TO For the content slides in the rest of the deck you will note there are placeholder boxes for your program logo and the logo of the company you are presenting to. To insert your program logo and the logo of the company you are pitching on these content slides, simply go to the “VIEW” menu and select “MASTER” and then “SLIDE MASTER”. Click on the third slide master slide in the navigation panel. Add the logo for your program and that of the company you are presenting to. Try to keep the logos within the outline of the grey boxes. Once you have placed the logos, delete the grey boxes and return to the standard view mode by closing out of the master view. TIP: If you’ve pulled a logo from a Web site, we recommend saving it onto your hard drive somewhere (right click the logo on the Internet, go to “Save Picture A”s to somewhere on your hard drive or Desktop). Back in Powerpoint, go to Insert – Picture – From File and find the logo you just saved. This may cut down on file size.
  • #8 Use this section as part of a personal dialogue with your donor/prospect. Ask them to put themselves into this picture. How would they feel?
