Kazoo The  Kazoo ’s family is the mirlinton family. (all of the mirlintons have a membrane inside, which changes the sound ) When you hum into it, the air from your mouth vibrates against a thin piece of paper,called a menbrane, and makes a buzzing sound. Most kazoos today are  plastic and are sold as toys. 70 years ago there were kazoo bands in parts of Europe.
 
RAINSTICK *Most  rainsticks  are made from a hollowed-out tree branch or a bamboo cane . *When you turn the tube over, the seeds fall to one end (turned slowly, the seeds make the trickling sound of rain and turned quickly, the create louder sound) *This instrument are made from transparent plastic, with pellets inside.
