OpenStreetMap data is used in Finland for several applications. The National Land Survey of Finland has opened up its topographic data, making it freely available under an open license. While not all Finnish OSM data is directly imported from the national survey, some mappers contribute this data. Several companies in Finland utilize OSM data, including the newspaper Helsingin Sanomat for traffic information and municipal comparisons. BlindSquare is an audio navigation app that also uses OSM, though coverage is still a challenge.
