This month, we will focus on the challenges of energy management and building automation in extremely remote locations. Cold Energy Automation, located in Australia, has managed to find innovative solutions to the difficult task of designing and maintaining building automation and energy management solutions for sites far from the traditional grid and city infrastructure. Join us as they explain some of the challenges they faced and how they found solutions for building automation and energy management in remote aboriginal communities of Australia. They will also be demonstrating some current building automation projects, with applications in cold storage and fruit ripening.

Bilder, Videos oder Dokumente verbessern die Resonanz auf PR-Meldungen. Außerdem müssen Pressemitteilungen auch mobil optimal gelesen werden können, um ein bestmögliches Echo hervorzurufen. Das ergab der neue Social Media Trendmonitor "Kommunikationsprofis, Journalisten und das Web" von der dpa-Tochter news aktuell und Faktenkontor. Knapp 1.500 Unternehmenssprecher, Agenturmitarbeiter und Medienvertreter haben an der Umfrage teilgenommen.
Neun von zehn Pressesprechern richten ihre Mitteilungen nicht mehr allein an Journalisten. Sie sagen, dass Kunden, Marketing, Wettbewerber und die Öffentlichkeit mittlerweile ebenfalls relevante Zielgruppen sind (90 Prozent). Ähnlich sehen das die Fachleute aus den PR-Agenturen (81 Prozent). Außerdem beobachten die Kommunikatoren, dass die Resonanz auf Pressemitteilungen besser ist, wenn begleitendes Material wie Fotos, Videoclips oder PDF-Dokumente bereitgestellt wird. (Pressestellen 81 Prozent, PR-Agenturen 87 Prozent). Ein weiterer Erfolgsfaktor für die Resonanz auf Pressemitteilungen ist die optimale mobile Bereitstellung. Knapp zwei Drittel aller Befragten halten die Bereitstellung auf dem Smartphone per Mail, Browser oder App für "wichtig" (Pressestellen 61 Prozent, PR-Agenturen 62 Prozent).
Fazit zu Social Media fällt nüchtern aus
Insgesamt bewerten Pressesprecher, PR-Fachkräfte und Journalisten die Aktivitäten ihrer Arbeitgeber im Social Web eher zurückhaltend. Von einer breiten Euphorie ist im Fazit der Befragten wenig zu spüren. Vielmehr sagt nur jeder zehnte Journalist, dass sich die Erwartungen an den Einsatz von Social Media "voll erfüllt" haben. Bei den PR-Profis liegt dieser Wert nur geringfügig höher (Pressesprecher 13 Prozent, PR-Agenturen 17 Prozent). Rund zwei Drittel aller Befragten zeigen sich in ihrem Fazit unentschlossen und geben an, dass sich die Erwartungen an Facebook, Twitter und andere Anwendungen nur "zum Teil" erfüllt haben (Journalisten 64 Prozent, Pressesprecher 64 Prozent, PR-Agenturen 66 Prozent). ...
