“The last days of Jesus”
Movies are very popular, in places like schools people continuously talk about the movie they
saw, how good it was, and how they can't wait for the following one to come out. There are
constantly different new movies created and, they are viewed all the time, there are action
movies, adventure, comedy, horror, romance, etc. there are times that religious movies were not
viewed by some people because it’s boring and un-interesting. When looking at the overview of
movies I think they are created for two purposes. Fiction movies are typically for entertainment.
Non-fiction movies are to inform people about the history of an event or about a subject. But
there are still that needs to be considered and that is the effect of the film to the viewers.
Last meeting we watched a film entitled the Son of God, even thou I’ve watched it twice
already and that was my third time in watching the film but still the effects and impacts of that
film was struck on my bones. It is because of the content, quality, and value of that film. Upon
watching that film, I captured some of the highlights of the film or the important events that
needs to be studied in my age right now. One of this is the death and the resurrection of Jesus.
His dead was the corner stone for the changes of this world. His last days has a great purpose
one of this is that to cleanse our sins that have been stocked in our minds and most of all in our
hearts. Another is to give us hope, the hope that we have been waiting for so long. It was indeed
that Jesus he want us to follow his footsteps just like his disciples. Because of his death more
people were enlightened through the words that he have had said to us. His words and his being
here in the world was serves as a bell, the bell that will awaken us from being remained stagnant
for years.
We can follow the example of the thousands of martyrs through history who gladly traded
their earthly lives for everlasting life via the resurrection. The resurrection is the triumphant and
glorious victory for every believers. Why is the resurrection of Jesus Christ important to salvation?
It demonstrated that God accepted Jesus’ sacrifice on our behalf. It proves that God has the power
to raise us from the dead. It guarantees that those who believe in Christ will not remain dead, but
will be resurrected unto eternal life. That is our blessed hope!"
Let me end this reflection with this famous sayings that perhaps motivates us to be faithful in
God the God of Hope.
A Christian will part with anything rather than his hope; he knows that hope will keep the heart both
from aching and breaking, from fainting and sinking; he knows that hope is a beam of God, a spark of
glory, and that nothing shall extinguish it till the soul be filled with glory.
