Title : HEXA PEDAL RUNNING SPACE ROBOT
DESCRIPTION:
Theaimoftheprojectistobuildasix‐leggedwalkingrobotthatiscapableofbasicmobilitytaskssuchas
walkingforward, backward, rotatinginplace. By using Four-bar mechanism.
Four-bar linkage or simply a four-bar is the simplest movable linkage. It
consists of four rigid bodies (called bars or links), each attached to two others by single joints
or pivots to form a closed loop.
 Robotic technologies have the potential to improve the lifestyles of people.
 By using 4 bar mechanism we design six bar linkage.
 Robotic technologies increase the capability of humans while reducing the human
labour.
Project 1: Surface, Solid Modeling & Detailing of CPU Cabinet.
Description : Project involved in the parametric Surface, solid modeling and detailing
of the CPU Cabinet. This is a sheet metal part. Steel composition is the raw material. The
CPU Cabinet is a main part of computer assembly containing various parts like hard disk,
motherboard, ram DVD writeb etc. With the good engineering knowledge of piercing,
bending, louvering, embossing, perforating etc., the model is created in tool software. This
cabinet is used as shield to protect the body from external hazards.
Tools used : CatiaV5
Responsibility:
• Part was modeled carefully using basic and advanced features.
• Gauges was created to ensure the size of components.
Good knowledge of cutting and non-cutting operations.
• The part was free from geom. Checks to ensure that an error free STEP can be
created.
• Creation of manufacturing drawings by applying GD&T.
• Quality check of drawings as per customer standards.
Project 2 : Surface, Solid Modeling & Detailing of Laser Blade
Description : Project involved in the parametric Surface, solid modeling and detailing
of the Laser Blade. This is a press tool component produced by cutting process like piercing
and blanking. Foil is usually used for creating blade having thickness >0.4mm.The part was
created by following press tool design guidelines. In this case the press tool performs a
continuous cutting operation. Material used is steel with high percentage of carbon (usually
1.2%). It was modeled carefully using basic and advanced features. Parting line selection and
tooling direction was suggested by client.
Tools used : CatiaV5
