In January this year, more than 100 staff from
Bendigo and Adelaide Bank’s head office in
Bendigo signed up to receive a free home energy
assessment through Central Victoria Solar City
as part of the Solar City Energy Team Challenge.
Promoted to staff by Bendigo and Adelaide Bank
Head of Environment and Sustainability Trudy Ellery
through an internal email campaign, participants
signed up through a nominated member of staff
to receive a free home energy assessment at a
time of their choosing and in the comfort of their
homes. Staff were offered the opportunity to learn
how to lower the cost of their energy bills while
contributing to a research trial aimed at increasing
Australia’s focus on renewable energy.
