This research presents the design of a 0-5 GHz RF SOI switch for healthcare applications, utilizing 0.18um Power Jazz SOI technology and achieving key performance metrics including an insertion loss of 0.906 dB and isolation of 30.95 dB at 5 GHz. The switch, implementing a shunt-series topology, exhibits high linearity with a third-order distortion of 53.05 dBm and a 1 dB compression point of 50.06 dBm. The findings indicate that while the RF switch meets the desired specifications, further improvements are necessary for future healthcare applications.
