● Discrimination based on language is the unequal treatment of individuals on the basis of
their proficiency or their way of using the language.
● This may include the use of the mother tongue or of a second language, as well as the
way of speaking, the accent, the precision of the vocabulary and the grammar.
2. Teacher’s Treatment
● The classroom is a dynamic environment, bringing together students from different
backgrounds with various abilities and personalities. Being an effective teacher therefore
requires the implementation of creative and innovative teaching strategies in order to
meet students’ individual needs.

● Restrictions are imposed on students of a particular gender in schools or they may be
discriminated on that basis.

● Racial inequalities can occur mainly based on the particular caste, religion or the area a
student belongs to.
● The majority will show a tendency to rule them or to avoid them from mainstream
activities. Sometimes, even skin complexion can be the basis of such discrimination.
