As of now, many Americans have problems with their health care and the two
political parties, the Republicans and the Democrats, are split on the issue. The past
president, Barrack Obama, enacted the Patient Protection and the Affordable Care
Act, commonly called Obamacare, on May 23rd, 2010.
After the first attempt to repeal Obamacare failed, a skinny repeal of Obamacare was
put in place to repeal only parts of Obamacare. This repeal also failed with a Senate
vote of 49 51, not repealing Obamacare.
Although most Americans are not happy with their healthcare, Obamacare should
not be repealed because its repeal would result in coverage loss, prices to rise, and it
would take a step backward in health care rather than solving the main concerns
Americans have about health care.
Although health care is already very expensive in the United States, the result of the
repeal would only raise the premiums more so. If Obamacare were to be repealed,
the individual mandate would follow along with it. The individual mandate is a rule

The battle of Thermopylae is an important event in western civilization history. This
battle established the name of the Spartans and how ruthless and disciplined they
were. The battle of Thermopylae also helped end the wrath of Xerxes and the
Persians before they could conquer all of the city states that they wanted to. The
battle also revolutionized the technique of using the land to people s advantage in war.
Thermopylae is a mountain pass near the sea in Northern Greece, located 150
kilometers North of Athens. It was an excellent choice for defense since it had
mountains running down into the sea, the only remaining land was a narrow marshy
area along the coast. Thermopylae was a very strategic location. It commands the
pass from Thessaly through Lokris and Boeotia. Having secured the pass could block
any invaders and even make them turn back, though all three occasions, the defensive
use of the pass failed. The Athenians took position at Thermopylae in 352 BC,
making Philip II decide not to invade. Then, in 323 BC during the Lamian War, the
general Leosthenes blocked the Macedonian Antipater by stationing troops at
Thermopylae. Thermopylae was not the only route south from Thessaly; it was
merely the fastest and easiest route.

it is about overcoming conflict, challenging the universal meaning of courage, and
persevering with humility.
One of the rules of life is to help yourself before helping others, without an

peak of crisis he overcame conflict against the self. Whether it was blaming himself
for his tragedy or battling against the idea of whether or not to perform a self
amputation, Ralston overcame his internal struggle making a choice between logic

In America, there is a judicial system that helps justice prevail, to punish criminals,
and let the innocent walk. The judicial system allows for there to be a trial where
evidence is presented. Through the evidence presented, the jury then decides if the
person on trial is innocent or guilty. Never in any trial, in any courthouse, under any
judge would it be allowed for a murder to be justified so that one could restore a

This means that the whole town smelled Santiago Nasar. Most people don t find
the dreams important as it is not reality; also entire communities do not smell the
same dead man the day after he dies, but because the people do shows that the
