Social reporting is an emerging role that mixes journalism, facilitation and social media to tell the story of an event. It helps those both in the room and not in the room follow what happens by using techniques like storytelling, interviews, videos and photos. The social reporter acts as a social artist to provide a record of the event through tools like blogs, Twitter, slideshare and video streaming before, during and after an event. The document then provides links to the social reporting tools being used for a IFAD start-up workshop in Africa.
