A child may not have any problem with his Visual Image Generating System. But may have problem with Visual Image Processing System. Eyes, optic nerve and all other parts of the body involved in sight may be perfectly okay. But the processing of the visual impulses to form an idea about what's seen may be at fault. This will cause dyslexia, math problems and social difficulties.
1\ARCHITECTURE AND NATION BUILDING IN THE AGE OF GLOBALIZATION: CONSTRUCTION OF THE NATIONAL STADIUM OF BEIJING FOR THE 2008 OLYMPICS
This study examines the relationship between architecture and nation building in the age of globalization, with an analysis of the debates and controversies about the National Stadium, the main sports venue for the 2008 Olympics in Beijing. The article argues that nationalism, along with the cultural ideology of global consumerism, drives the production of flagship architectural projects in China. The dilemma between nationalism and global consumerism has led state politicians and bureaucrats to opt for a global architectural language to narrate national ambitions. The study reveals the rationale underlying the search for global architecture among political elites in China, as well as its mixed consequences for local cultural discourses and politics.

3\Good culture, bad culture...no culture! The implications of culture in urban regeneration in Bradford, UK
This paper shows how regeneration policies in Bradford (UK) have over the years been modified following local, national and international events since 1997. It will be argued that policy makers reacted to pub- lic perceptions of the city itself and of its large Muslim community in three phases: celebration of local minority ethnic culture; pathologi- zation of the same; exclusion of any cultural element from the city’s self-projection. The paper suggests that these changes are at the same time reflexive of historical events and hegemonic discourses, and likely to be constitutive (as they have the potential to deeply affect social relations in the city). Further investigation is required to measure such constitutive long-term effects on minority ethnic groups and social relations in the city.

Social perception is the process by which one individual observes, takes cues, interprets it to arrive at conclusions on himself, on others, and the society around him. He observes, takes, cues, apart from that he also takes cues from the pre-formed knowledge.

How to pick a lock? This is a question most have had run through their mind at one point or another. The reasons why one would actually want to learn how to pick a lock may seem limitless. It could be for ill intent, curiosity of how a lock works, or maybe even to acquire a rare skill that to most seems incomprehensible. Whatever the reason, this guide will aid you in not only learning how to pick a lock, but also how these devices work.

Keep Control of Your Firm with Private Equity ThinkingAndy Birol
How can private and family businesses take control and predetermine their future?
Owners of financially valuable and highly admired firms understand that creation of wealth comes from seizing and converting future opportunities into positive cash flow. This accomplishment comes from the synthesis of their business curiosity, original thinking, courageous leadership, and mastery of risk and return.
These owners run their businesses as if the firm is owned by outside investors. Yet, they never depend on such investors, keeping their firms to sell or run as they choose.
Webinar Objectives
1. Understand the private equity mindset and their evaluation of risk vs. reward
2. Understand the value of this mindset and how it applies to your 21st century growth
3. How to implement a private equity strategy and keep control of your firm

Recognition: The philosopher’s stone of every improvement in the Agile team a...Agile ME
Come and discover the philosopher’s stone of every constant improvement
The philosopher’s stone lies in turning any cheap metals into precious metals, or into silver.
Does a team (be it an Agile team or not) essentially needs recognition to become well-performing?
What are the challenges of recognition? What is the impact of recognition on the performance of men and women, teams, and companies?
What is the positive influence of this strong improvement lever on Agile practices? How could a company make its first step towards becoming, or not, an Agile company through a recognition strategy?
According to thorough studies, recognition is a vital lever for the improvement of any company’s performance. In fact, recognition is in the heart of many Agile practices. But what if recognition weren’t the essential factor?
A recognition strategy is a key factor for an Agile corporate transformation.

Content marketing 2014 - From The Digital Marketing Show Danny Denhard
My thoughts and predictions for content marketing in 2014, including the new sites to look out for and how to get the most out of your content, especially if you are in boring niches or b2b marketing.
Predictions include:
- Image based social media - Imgur, Instagram & Flickr
- Second coming of Tumblr
- Paid niche models - Reddit and StumbleUpon
- The influence of instant messengers and marketing opportunties with whatsapp, Snapchat, Wechat, BBM & Facebook messenger
- Content news readers zite, flipboard, pulse, material, slideshare,
- Home entertainment systems PS4 and Xbox One
This deck includes top content marketing companies including (usual suspects) Red Bull, Coca Cola, TED & Google and the new breed including Nike, LinkedIn & John Lewis.
We are the same creatures as we have always been...only the technology has changed everything around us and about us. This slide show has very few words. You have to absorb the images and the contrasts between them to get the idea. Tell me what you think.
10 Tips For Engaging Congress. Want to go see congress? That's where the money is. It's also where the policies and laws are made. Want to change them or get some money then you've got to engage. Access is half the battle. What do you do when you get there? Follow these 10 tips and you'll be successful. Voters matter so it works better if you can engage with that in mind. Treat staffers with respect, no matter how young they may look. Trust me they have the member’s ear and trust. Finally, don't be afraid, engage early and be prepared. You’ve got to have a two-minute elevator speech ready and it’s always a good idea to have a one-page “leave behind” handy as well. Practice you’re two-minute drill as well because you never know whom you’ll run into.

Communicating with the 5 Generations in the WorkplaceMary Erlain, CMS
5 Generations in the Workplace…
This is the root cause of many of the problems in business today that affects growth, productivity, and profitability on the business level, but more importantly erodes valuable relationships in the workplace. Our culture is diverse in age, heritage, gender, etc. This book was written to help bridge the gaps around generational diversity. Whether you are a solo business owner, large company, or any point in between, “Communicating with the 5 Generations in the Workplace” will change the way you view your business world (and maybe help you on the home front too).
There is a great generational divide that exists in our culture which began around 2011. This causes confusion, conflict, productivity challenges, customer issues, leadership and management gaps, and overall tension in the workplace and loss in revenue and profitability. How can we manage these gaps and even more importantly, use them to our advantage?
Develop the understanding and skills to work with ALL of your people in business
Understand the negative consequences of taking the “you are DIFFERENT; therefore WRONG” approach
Reap the rewards of viewing others as “you are NOT WRONG; just DIFFERENT“
This book will help you move from a place of mediocrity and conflict to a state of organizational excellence!
