20110110 ARMA Dallas Managing Web 2.0 Records: Facebook, Twitter and Everythi...Jesse Wilkins
This presentation introduced enterprise use cases for social media, described the difference between commercial and enterprise social technologies, and provided specific steps to take to manage social content as records.
The presentation delivered to the ARMA Dallas Chapter by Jesse Wilkins, AIIM Director, Systems of Engagement. The presentation looks at methods of managing web 2.0 records, such as Facebook, Twitter and everything in between.
This presentation from the 2011 NARA E-Records Forum in Austin provided guidance on how to manage social business content as part of a records program.
Communication Compliance in Microsoft 365Joanne Klein
Communication Compliance is part of the Insider Risk solution set in Microsoft 365. Its purpose is to monitor communication methods used both within and outside of the Microsoft 365 cloud to help identify insider non-compliant and risky communication. In the modern workplace today, communication methods are vast and varied and all can be a potential channel for non-compliance. The Communication Compliance tool has been purpose-built to help identify potential areas of non-compliance across these communication methods and remediation actions that can be taken depending on the severity of the activity.
The crown jewels of any IT environment is the valuable information you manage. This session will explore techniques and Microsoft technologies that can ensure documents are well-managed, secured, and only available to approved individuals in your organization. We will also look at advanced ediscovery and data governance approaches and technologies that can support these.
Perspectives on Ethical Big Data GovernanceCloudera, Inc.
Enterprise data governance is a critical, yet challenging, business process, and the rapidly expanding universe of data volumes and types make it a more significant undertaking, particularly for public sector organizations. In this session, attendees will learn how to bring comprehensive data governance to their organizations to ensure data collected and managed is handled and protected as required. Discover practical information on how to use the components and frameworks of the Hadoop stack to support your requirements for data auditing, lineage, metadata management, and policy enforcement, and hear recommendations on how to get started with measuring the progress of ethical big data usage--including what’s legal and what’s right. Bring your questions and join this lively, interactive dialogue.
20110427 ARMA Houston Keynote Records Management 2.0Jesse Wilkins
This luncheon keynote at the ARMA Houston Spring Seminar introduced Web 2.0 concepts and issues and provided attendees with specific steps for managing social content as part of the records program.
SharePoint 2013 and Office 365 - Collaboration, Cloud and ComplianceJoel Oleson
SharePoint 2013, Yammer and Office 365 product families bring new capabilities for content sharing, finding, organizing, and authoring. They also create new challenges. The move to the cloud and the integration of SharePoint with the enterprise social network with yammer, and have made this release so profound and disruptive to the business. In this session we'll dig into planning and strategy for social architectures around both business process and the technologies to help ensure compliance and success. Social enterprise technology is transformative and will lead to more agile business when used correctly, but a disaster and chaos when not used properly.

An overview about ZIGRAM, our focus areas, work, use-cases and team. ZIGRAM is a high impact organization which operates in the Data Asset space. Our team is made up of professionals from varied domains like data science, technology, sales, financial services, research and business consulting. Our aim is to deliver value to clients by Building and Managing Data Assets across use cases - thereby boosting revenues and reducing the cost of doing business, in a data-driven world.
Our Vision is to integrate our products, data, and services in DIKW organizations globally, to help solve real-world problems by leveraging Data Assets
Data loss is considered by security experts to be one of the most serious threats that businesses currently face.
Maintaining the confidentiality of personal information and data is an essential factor in operating a successful business. People must be able to trust that their service provider takes the appropriate measures to implement security controls that will ultimately protect their privacy.
However, some of the largest and most reputable organizations have fallen victim to data loss security breaches resulting in significant legal, financial, and reputation loss, including [1]:
The Bank of America: Losing the personal employee information of over one million employees
The United States Government: Losing data related to the military
Heartland Payment Systems: Transferring credit card information and other personal records of over 130 million customers
In 2013, it was estimated that data breaches had resulted in the exploitation of over 800 million personal records [2]. This number is also expected to rise over the next several years given the advanced tools that cybercriminals use to steal information and data.
Interestingly, it is not just cybercriminals who represent a threat as:
64% of data loss is caused by well-meaning insiders.
50% of employees leave with data.
$3.5 million average cost of a security breach.
Considering these extensive data breaches, it is practical for organizations to understand where their critical data is located and understanding current security controls that can stop data loss.
Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions locate critical and personal data for organizations and help prevent data loss. By having a deeper understanding of efficient DLP security controls, you will help protect the reputation of your organization.

zkStudyClub - Reef: Fast Succinct Non-Interactive Zero-Knowledge Regex ProofsAlex Pruden
This paper presents Reef, a system for generating publicly verifiable succinct non-interactive zero-knowledge proofs that a committed document matches or does not match a regular expression. We describe applications such as proving the strength of passwords, the provenance of email despite redactions, the validity of oblivious DNS queries, and the existence of mutations in DNA. Reef supports the Perl Compatible Regular Expression syntax, including wildcards, alternation, ranges, capture groups, Kleene star, negations, and lookarounds. Reef introduces a new type of automata, Skipping Alternating Finite Automata (SAFA), that skips irrelevant parts of a document when producing proofs without undermining soundness, and instantiates SAFA with a lookup argument. Our experimental evaluation confirms that Reef can generate proofs for documents with 32M characters; the proofs are small and cheap to verify (under a second).

Observability Concepts EVERY Developer Should Know -- DeveloperWeek Europe.pdfPaige Cruz
Monitoring and observability aren’t traditionally found in software curriculums and many of us cobble this knowledge together from whatever vendor or ecosystem we were first introduced to and whatever is a part of your current company’s observability stack.
While the dev and ops silo continues to crumble….many organizations still relegate monitoring & observability as the purview of ops, infra and SRE teams. This is a mistake - achieving a highly observable system requires collaboration up and down the stack.
I, a former op, would like to extend an invitation to all application developers to join the observability party will share these foundational concepts to build on:
