Social justice work aims to radically transform systems of power that oppress and exploit people, in order to create a society with greater freedom and equality where everyone can reach their full human potential. It is a grassroots effort and differs from charitable work which provides aid or political work which seeks policy changes, as social justice work targets the underlying structures that cause injustices.
