Soccer is a sport played between two teams of 11 players each. The objective is to score more goals than the opposing team by kicking or heading the ball into their goal. The ball can only be touched with the feet, legs, or head except for the goalkeeper who is allowed to use their hands. The origins of soccer can be traced back to 2500 BC in ancient Greece and Egypt. Key rules of soccer include having 11 players per side, a field size of 100 by 50-100 yards, and only allowing handling of the ball by the goalkeeper.
