This document provides an organizational analysis of Brown University's Delta Tau fraternity. It discusses how the fraternity has evolved over time from adhering to typical fraternity norms and practices like hazing and exclusivity, to developing a more relaxed culture that emphasizes friendship and inclusiveness. The analysis examines how D Tau represents both the organic and cultural models of organization. It has struggled for survival at times when membership declined sharply but adapted by reforming its culture. D Tau now stresses its unique identity through traditions like an informal structure and lack of hazing.
