SmarterWX is a cloud-based scheduling tool that helps coordinate capital works projects between utilities, councils, and state government agencies. It identifies opportunities for collaboration by matching overlapping construction projects in time and location. When opportunities are found, the relevant organizations are notified and can coordinate to save money by reducing duplication of efforts and disruptions. The tool also includes features for defining exclusion zones where work is restricted and tracking estimated savings from collaborative projects. SmarterWX aims to improve coordination of public works to reduce costs and disruptions for communities.

The definition of overlapping is determined by the Matching Rules in the published workspace and will be
different for each organisation.
