4. INTRODUCTION
INTRODUCTION TO CURRENT SYSTEM
Smart Glasses is the new trend in a consumer market. There are many smart glasses
systems with different features and facilities.
All the smart glasses systems are used to control mobile phone through a remote
control. The remote control can be a stationed unit or a wireless glasses.
The Smart glasses used for controlling phone application usually have keys or touch-
based on sensors. In this project, a smart glasses system is designed which can be
eyewear glass or spectacles.
5. INTRODUCTION TO OUR PROJECT
Basic purpose of developing new system of smart glasses is to remove the need of the hand
held eyewear glass.
The basic purpose of this system is to control different electronic devices with the help of
eyewear glass.
Thus, this system will work as a remote control for operating different electronic devices
present in a daily use. We are using eyewear glasses to controlled application like phone,
laptop, etc. instead of using hand control.
6. OVERVIEW OF SMART GLASSES
Smart glasses refers to a device that brings with suitable
technology a computer screen/display in front of a person’s eyes
in order to present data from the background information
system.
The display can be projected/reflected on the lens of glasses or it
can be a separate component brought to the eye sight.
8. WORKING OF SMART GLASSES
1. First, command is given to glasses.
2. Then the process(command) is send to Arduino nano chip.
3. Then the data is sent to the firebase through internet, phone.
4. And the query is perform in mobile application.
9. OBJECTIVES
The objective of smart glasses is seamlessly blend human vison
with virtual reality or world, producing a kind of ubiquitous
computer
So that we can control mobile application independently without
any help of other Software devices
10. DRAWBACKS AND PROBLEMS
Make people lazy and effortless
Internet must require
Cannot use by those people who have eye’s issues
Easily misuse of data
Easily broken
High cost and maintenance
11. USER BENEFITS
This projects contains lot of advance modules which can control voice based
To help handicapped humans to control the mobile application
independently without any help
Physically handicapped people can also control mobile application using
voice control
You can control your gps, maps, calling app, messaging app etc.… from any
were in world using the smart glasses
This feature makes life more comfortable for humans
13. ARDUINO NODE
Arduino Nano is heart of system
Arduino has EEPROM, has 32kb
It has 14 pins, each pin can use as a input output, operate at 5 volts
The ATmega328 provide UART TTL (5V) serial communication, which is available on
digital pins 0 (RX) and 1 (TX).
The Arduino Nano can be programmed with the Arduino software
14. WIFI MODULE
WIFI Module is a self-contained SOC with integrated TCP/IP protocol stack that can give any
microcontroller access to your WIFI network.
This module has a powerful enough on-board processing and storage capability that allows
it to be integrated with the sensors and other application specific devices through its GPIOs
with minimal development up-front and minimal loading during runtime.
15. RELAY MODULE(SWITCH)
A relay is an electrically operated switch that can be turned on or off, letting the current go through or
not, and can be controlled with low voltages, like the 5V provided by the Arduino pins.
16. FIREBASE (CLOUD SERVER)
The Firebase Realtime Database is a cloud-hosted database. Data is stored as JSON and
synchronized in real-time to every connected client.
When you build cross-platform apps with our iOS, Android, and JavaScript SDKs, all of your
clients share one Realtime Database instance and automatically receive updates with the newest
data.
The Firebase Realtime Database lets you build rich, collaborative applications by allowing
secure access to the database directly from client-side code.
Data is persisted locally, and even while offline, real time events continue to fire, giving the end
user a responsive experience.
When the device regains connection, the Realtime Database synchronizes the local data
changes with the remote updates that occurred while the client was offline, merging any conflicts
automatically.
17. FUTURE EXPANSION
We will implement the application which is directly connected to the firebase
which can be use anywhere at anytime.
We will provide more command that can run everything on your mobile
application.
We can solve the issue of the main drawback by implementing the project at
low cost.
We can implement the eye lens sensor & voice recognition before accessing
the devices for more security.
We can provide a offline and online services 24/7
19. CONCLUSION
The goal of this project is to design a useful and fully functional real-world
product that efficiently translates the movement of the eye for the mobile
application.
Our motivation is to help differently able people to control the electronic
appliances more easily.
The IOT BASED SMART GLASSES (ICEBERG) system also teaches people to
learn the different command and it uses a glove to recognize the eye
position and gives the outputs to controls the electronic devices like mobile,
tablets, computer, laptop etc.
