  2. The principles behind which we operate as a course team. Communicating a clear vision – alignment of key messages across the course team, regular communication, clear staff student expectations Trust – people wary of social media. Set parameters early, social media session in induction, managing online reputation, professionalism Collaboration – build a sense of course community – sense of pride – accountability Empower students – let them tweet in the name of the course, publish in the public domain Key – opportunity to listen to the student voice, celebrate their achievements, promotion of the degree
  3. The importance is coming from the pressure on the higher education sector to become more transparent on the return on a student’s investment but mostly importantly it’s about a students sense of belonging within the degree and I think this is about knowing your students and recognising their achievements.
