- The principles behind which we operate as a course team. Communicating a clear vision – alignment of key messages across the course team, regular communication, clear staff student expectations Trust – people wary of social media. Set parameters early, social media session in induction, managing online reputation, professionalism Collaboration – build a sense of course community – sense of pride – accountability Empower students – let them tweet in the name of the course, publish in the public domain Key – opportunity to listen to the student voice, celebrate their achievements, promotion of the degree
- The importance is coming from the pressure on the higher education sector to become more transparent on the return on a student’s investment but mostly importantly it’s about a students sense of belonging within the degree and I think this is about knowing your students and recognising their achievements.
