2. Awards and Accomplishments
In my short life, these two certificates are what I am most proud of
receiving. In 2011 I graduated from high school and was awarded with an
Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) and it signified my
achievement of completing high school in a timely manor. Along with
receiving my OSSD, I was presented with the Ontario Scholar certificate
which awarded my hard work and dedication of achieving above 80% in
my university level in my grade 12 classes. I am a very detailed oriented
person and without the ability to stay focused and organized I would of not
been able to be granted these certificates.
3. Business Events
I have been working for Cineplex Entertainment LP for 3 years and in the summer of
2012 I attended the employee baseball tournament in which theatres across Southern
Ontario competed against each other in a friendly game of baseball. Cineplex Odeon
Morningside is the theatre that I am apart of and without these great co-workers I
would not be the person that I have grown to be today. We have grown together so
much that we do not consider ourselves as simply co-workers but non-biological
family. I have learned so much from these individuals it is incredible. I have learned
what it takes to truly be a great team member and a great leader, all from my first job
of working for Cineplex Entertainment LP.
4. ecent Volunteer Experience
e Fall of 2012 I was given the opportunity to volunteer for the Ontario Colleges’ Marketing
mpetition. I was asked by my first semester teacher if I was interested in doing the marketing
petition, however by the time I had found out about the competition I was too late to try out.
ead of saying “oh well, try again next year” the team at OCMC decided that I was still neede
Team Leader for the competition. My role was to look after the other volunteers and make s
the event ran smoothly . I was in charge of a team of approximately 10 people, and being a
first semester student it was an honour and privilege to be given such a great amount of
onsibility. In 2013 I will be attending OCMC again however I will be a contestant in the
petition and I cannot wait to showcase my marketing talent for the entire college to see.
5. Interaction with Business People
In 2010 I co-chaired a Model United Nations Meeting for the Security Council for my high
schools first annual MUN conference called LMUN. It was a great experience being able
to create different crisis’s that the real United Nations would have to make decisions on. I
got to meet many bright young talented people from many high schools across Southern
Ontario. This experience encouraged me to be a leader and to voice my opinions
whenever possible. In order to become co-chair I had to study the MUN code of conduct
and memorize important terminology to make the conference as engaging as possible.
6. Travel Experience
One of my greatest career goal is to obtain a job in New York City. In late 2012 I
traveled to the beautiful city and discovered my great love and passion for the
city. I would like to be able to live there one day and experience everything that
New York has to offer me. I plan on traveling a lot in my future career, as
currently I am studying marketing. The culture of the world is right at my
fingertips, waiting for me to sample and savour every divine aspect.
