There are two ways to create a Slidecast by either dividing audio equally between slides or synchronizing each slide to a point in an audio file. To create a Slidecast, one uploads a presentation and audio file to SlideShare, synchronizes the slides and audio by leaving it unsynchronized, doing a quick divide, or syncing each slide, and then saves and publishes the Slidecast.

1. There are two ways to create a Slidecast:
You can divide audio equally between the slides (default setting)
You can synchronize each slide with a point in the audio file
Create a Slidecast by following the steps below:
Step 1: Upload your presentation file to SlideShare; or use an existing presentation
Step 2: Upload your audio file (mp3 format only) to SlideShare

2. Step 3: Synchronize slides and audio — here are the three ways to do this:
• You can leave the audio unsynchronized
• You can do a quick sync using the divide audio equally (suited to musical
presentations)
• Or you can sync each slide to a particular point in the audio file
• Drag the selector window in the Audio Selector to navigate the audio waveform

3. Optional: use the Divide audio equally button to divide your audio file equally amongst
all the slides.
Step 4: Save and Publish — Save your work frequently; this only saves your work, it does
not show the Slidecast on the site.
The Slidecast appears publicly only when you click the Save button and then the Publish
button.
